Rated 5 out of 5 by from Put to the TEST & passed with Flying Colors!!! Sound quality is Excellent! Had it bungeed to the back of my yak on the Upper Delaware. In some particularly rough water the upper back of my seat gave & shifted back, knocking the speaker out. It plunged under, popped back up to surface, I grabbed it, drained a shower of water as it continued to Play!!! Gotta luv this speaker!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good balance of size versus sound Bought two of these about a month ago. Very good bass for a relatively small speaker. Bluetooth links flawlessly. Gives about 15 hours of listening time on a charge. When the battery is getting low, one of the front LEDs begins flashing red, at which point you have about an hour of listening time remaining before the unit automatically shuts off.

Jbl app updates work bluetooth connects all the time and is stable. When using as a phone calls are clear. Haven't got it wet but that feature was more for peace of mind when on holiday by thr pool. Colour is really cool too. Just wish it came with a nice carry bag.charges phone well and battery lasts ages. Well chuffed though.

What does recertified mean?

Asked by: Ozwold
Hi Refurbished products are products that have been returned to us by our dealers or retailers. These products have been thoroughly checked and tested to meet the high standards that are set by HARMAN. A refurbished product contains the same features and functionalities as a new model, and we supply the same warranty with these products as with similar new ones. You may see some minor cosmetic imperfections, and perhaps the product has been repackaged, but you can be assured that these products will perform perfectly. If you require more information, please feel free to contact us by phone or email

does it work in the sea or does it need to be in fresh water

Asked by: max walton
Hi Max, An IPX-7 rating doesn't exclude any liquids, so you are able to use them in (salt) seawater as well. Make sure however, that after you used it in salt water, that you rinse off the speaker well under fresh/tap water, and don't leave it out in the sun to dry. This is to prevent the cloth cover to change color ( this is not part of product warranty ) If you require further information, please contact us by email or phone

I can't find anything that explains where the music is coming from. Can I use my IPod as my music source?

Asked by: Mazie
CHARGE 3 is an external portable speaker that depends to its source in order to play audio. Perfect example would be your iPod as your music source. You can either connect it wired through a 3.5 Aux cable or wireless through Bluetooth.

I love my Charge 2. Are any of your speakers able to read/play thumb drives? If not, are there plans for that feature in the future/

Asked by: jus2kool
The USB port is used to charge mobile devices as the CHARGE 3 also acts as a power bank for mobile devices. Please keep in mind, it is ONLY used for charging and would not be able to read/recognize thumb drives or audio files from your mobile phone/device.
