Hi, Im having trouble setting my AVR101 to support 5.1 surround sound? when i run sound tests with youtube only the front three speakers seem to work and not the rear but when i check using the system the rear work well. I tried it on all setting?

Hi, Assuming you have either a Smart TV with Youtube, or an AppleTV/Google Chromecast connected to your AVR 101, I would like to suggest you change the Audio Output on either of these devices to PCM. After this, you should be able to change the 2-channel stereo mode ( which also includes the center channel, when a speaker is connected there ) to a 5-channel stereo mode. Youtube doesn't stream in 5.1 channels, which is why the AVR automatically reverts to 2-Channel stereo. If you require further assistance, please contact us on customer.support@harman.com

How many speakers can I hook up to the AVR 10? Will a pair of Studio 290, and a Studio sub 250p work?

Asked by: Saumanngalaxy
Hi, The AVR101 is a 5.1 channel AV Receiver. You can choose of course to only connect 2 front speakers and a subwoofer, theoretically turning your 5.1 channel to a 2.1 channel receiver. If you require any further information, please contact us at our Customer Service department
