If CHARGE 3 has differences to what you see in our photos on our website especially if it has a micro SD port and green led light, it's a counterfeit product. To ensure you get genuine JBL products, please visit our authorized JBL stores or purchase product from our JBL web sites only.

My JBL Charge 3 can't connect with my cell phone Moto X Force. I checked it with Lenovo/Motorola and they tell me to verify with JBL. I certainly shure that you will speak that is a problem with my fone. Am I right?

Asked by: Mozartajr
To put the CHARGE 3 in pairing mode, simply press and hold the Bluetooth button for 2 seconds. The light should start flashing blue, indicating that the CHARGE 3 is ready to be paired. Turn your device’s Bluetooth on and you should now be able to connect to the CHARGE 3. If this doesn't help, please reset the speaker by pressing and holding the “Volume +” and the “Play/Pause” button at the same time while the CHARGE 3 is on. The device should switch off automatically, indicating the reset was successful.I noticed that you are in Brazil. If you are still having issues, please contact the store where you purchased the unit and they will be able to help.

I am thinking about purchasing the Charge 3. I know from the reviews that it plays music remarkable well. I listen to a lot of audio books on my Note 3 and want to know if the Bluetooth capability will play my audio books as well?

Asked by: DanAgain
The CHARGE 3 does not require any specific drivers. It utilizes the standard Bluetooth Stereo Audio drivers available in most laptops. There are two different Bluetooth protocols, one for Headset Audio used for talking on the telephone, and the other for high quality stereo audio listening. Being that the CHARGE 3 is a speaker, your computer, Mobile phone, Tablets must connect to the CHARGE 3 using the Stereo Audio protocol. Additionally, it seems that audio book is an application installed to your device, it should still work accordingly with the device installed.

Hi JBL personnel. I could not find a battery charging instruction to charge the JBL Charge 3 for the very first time. How long does it take to charge the JBL Charge 3 for the very first time out of the box?

Asked by: Jay Foo
The recharge time for the CHARGE 3 (from 0-100%) takes about 4.5 hours when plugging the included 5V / 2.3A charger into the wall outlet. Please note, charge time will significantly decrease when using higher amperage micro USB charger. We also have the quick start guide instructions located at our product webpage on our http://www.harmanaudio.com/jbl/JBL+CHARGE+III.html?dwvar_JBL%20CHARGE%20III_color=Black#start=1 for your reference.

When I connect to the speaker via Bluetooth the speaker produces a "connecting sound effect" and its very jarring and annoying. It sounds like a small sound clip of an acoustic guitar. How can I disable that sound effect? thank you!

I have a desk top windows 7 - I have tried everything but I still cannot get the charge 3 to connect. what ever I do it continues to look for a driver. any suggestions?

Asked by: noonie
Charge 3 utilizes basic BT connectivity. There are two BT protocols needed, one for headset audio used for talking on the phone and for audio streaming. Since Charge 3 is a BT enabled speaker it will require stereo audio protocol to stream music from the laptop to the speaker. By design laptops and desktops BT connection is meant for BT enabled keyboards and mouses, to get the needed BT protocol you need to get the latest driver update for BT connection, we suggest that you contact your computer manufacturer for additional assistance.
