Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well... Purchased 27 Jan 2016 and while I love the sound, I've had to do a factory reset twice, (averaging so far about once a month). Having only owned a cell phone since right before that, I don't know if it's normal to have to periodically reset BT connections or not, didn't stop me from buying a second one though. I'm anxious to pair them and see how things go, (currently visiting relatives out of state and the second one is waiting for me at home). Hoping for a great summer around the pool!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT SOUND As a person, who loves music and is "capable" to "hear it" I can claim this is one of best portable speakers built so far. The frequency range is great, especially the low range which is very good for such a small speakers. The sound is soft and nice. They are would enough and capable to operate more than 10 hours. Also the option to connect up to 3 devices and to sync two speaker systems wirelessly makes it great solution for person who travels or want to save space.

I bought a bluetooth transmitter to connect my speaker to a smart tv but I cannot get the spreaker to connect to the transmitter. Why is not working?

Asked by: Gabchill
All of our BT portable speakers follow normal BT protocol, with A2DP stereo audio streaming. So as long as your Bluetooth transmitter supports A2DP audo codec, the CHARGE 3 will work without any issue.

Is there a chance that there will be an update that allows disabling the startup/BlueTooth/shutdown sounds? This must be the most common complaint as they are so loud, I avoid using it because the control sounds are uncomfortable.

My charge 3 always shut down itself after my iPad mini 2 had not play video or audio. Can it always stay on when connected by Bluetooth?

Asked by: CSL423
What you are experiencing is normal. The CHARGE 3 has its power-saving feature which turns the unit off automatically when no audio signal is detected for 10-minutes. It will stay on as long as it’s receiving audio signal from the source that its connected to.

I bought three charge 3 speakers and I want to bluetooth them together along with a player. I can bluetooth the player and two speakers, but I can't get a third speaker to work by Bluetooth. Any suggestions ????, ed

Asked by: Doc Opp
The CHARGE 3 is a JBL Connect enabled speaker. Until the CHARGE 3 gets a software update, you can only connect 2 JBL Connect speakers at the same time.

Once JBL 3 wireless is paired to my laptop. It works for a few minutes. Then the speaker disconnects. Its been doing this all day. Why?????

Asked by: Sweetie
There is a high chance that it is because of EMI or electro-magnetic interference that interferes your Bluetooth connection causing your CHARGE 3 to disconnect or break. Bluetooth should work within 10 feet radius without any obstacle. Please do a reset to try and fix the issue. While turned ON, press and hold the “Phone” and “Volume +” buttons at the same time. The CHARGE 3 will turn off indicating that it has been reset. Re-pair your device to the speaker.

About how long does it last before the battery dies pernamently?

Asked by: Andru770
An average Lithium-Ion battery would have a life of an average of 500-1,500 charging cycles and is highly dependent on the usage and how you charge the battery.

My speaker don't turn on and it was full charge

Asked by: Judithch
What you are experiencing is not normal. Please try to turn it on while charging. If it doesn't turn on, please try using a different USB charging cable and plug it in at an alternate power source. If none of these things work, please submit a case request at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and the Customer Service team will be more than happy to further assist you.
