JBL Charge 3 is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 517.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality product Bought this having heard a friend's one. The sound quality is superb with a warm bass sound but retaining crisp quality at the top end. It is a very solid speaker and feels like it could take a battering which makes it perfect for travelling and using outdoors. Bought from JBL's refurbished dept and was 33% cheaper than a 'new' one. Still guaranteed and looks and sounds immaculate. Great speaker. Would thoroughly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great portable and home speaker JBL Charge 3 is a great speaker, for home or outside use. It has great features like JBL connect or IPx7 waterproof. Sound quality is what you expect when purchasing JBL products and I will tell you that at this price point it will beat most, if not all speakers out there. It lacks in the 360 sound which modern speakers are built nowadays, but the bass in this speaker is what makes it one of the best. Bass keeps up even at 100% volume, where most speakers would cut it out mostly. Overall great speaker with a good sound quality.

My jbl charge 3 cuts out playing music every now and then and my charger stopped work mysteriously. I think I got the short end of the stick.

Asked by: Anythingthrice
The maximum Bluetooth range for our portable speakers like the CHARGE 3 would be at 10m (32ft), with no large objects blocking the line of sight or wireless interference. A distance farther than that would pose signal deterioration. If it cuts out even about 10 feet away from a source device, resetting the speaker may possibly fix it. To reset, in power ON mode press and hold the "Volume +" and "Play/Pause" buttons at the same time for more than 3 seconds until it shuts off. You can also try using a different USB charging cable to determine where the problem is. If none of these things help, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and the Customer Service team will be more than happy to further assist you.

Is it bad to put it in low frequency mode? Will it damage my speaker?

Asked by: jjrog
Our portable speakers are optimized to sound best with NO tonal adjustments. Boosting frequencies to enhance bass and/or other sounds will likely result in reduced sonic quality and/or damage to the speakers. We recommend no tonal adjustments.

We just purchased a Charge 3- JBL and the music is cutting out every 30 sec-1 min.. when connected via bluetooth on a Droid Turbo phone. We have it plugged in- but haven't fully charged the battery as of yet- about to do that. Any suggestions/thoughts?

Asked by: nowak
There could be several factors that can cause this, one is interference we would suggest to try connecting the speaker to another phone/tablet and check if the issue persist. Another thing that can cause this is your phone notification sound, when a message from any social media app or email comes in, it stops any music being played to alert the use of such notification then once the sound alert is played then it resumes the music. One last thing is that the battery could be running low and the speaker is losing its connection thru BT, we would suggest to charge the unit completely, charging time is between 3 - 4 hours. If none of these things work, please submit a case request at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and the Customer Service team will be more than happy to further assist you.

Hi, when connected through bluetooth I hear little "skips" (sounds like a hole of just a few milliseconds in audio stream), I never noticed this with my old JBL Flip and use the same Android phone to play music. What can I do beside using audio cable?

Asked by: guibog
We are sorry to hear if you are experiencing audio skipping/jumping for milliseconds. You may try suing a different audio cable and/or connect it wirelessly via Bluetooth. If doesn’t help, please perform a reset on your CHARGE 3. with the CHARGE 3 on, press and hold the VOL+ and Pause/Play buttons for 5-6 seconds until the unit shuts off. Reconnect your speaker and re-check your Sound Output Preferences. If the issue persists, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and our Customer Service team will be glad to assist you.

Can you connect an ipod classic to the jbl charge 3 and play music?

Asked by: Qmaxima
JBL Charge 3 can accommodate two types of connection either BT or AUX. If your Ipod classic has an AUX or 3.5mm connection then you can play your music on the JBL Charge 3 without any issues.

I bought my charge 3 3 months ago, and now is making problems. When low frequencys play, it makes a sound like the driver is hiting something. It's in the driver not in the passive radiators. And it's mainly with the left one. What should I do?

Asked by: Alin
I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with the CHARGE 3. I noticed that you are in Spain. If you are still experiencing issues, please contact the store where you purchased the unit and they will be able to help.
