Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality sound in a small portable device I use this hiking and backpacking as well as with my laptop for louder speaker. I've used it camping and at the beach. It's very light and clip to any kind of backpack or just set it anywhere you are. Great sound and surprisingly loud for the small size.

I just purchased the jbl clip 2 and a samsung galaxy s8, but the phone does not see it when trying to pair it. I have tried the reset method as you mentioned in an earlier post. What to do?

Asked by: Rincon
Hi. Had a similar problem like you. Instead of holding Bluetooth button try short press. It will go to pairing mode.

How to sync iPhone jbl speaker

Asked by: Geno
Make sure that the CLIP 2 is in pairing mode and the Bluetooth on your iPhone turned ON. 1. Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the speaker until it makes a pairing sound. A blinking blue light means it is already in pairing mode 2. Turn ON the Bluetooth of your device. 3. Your device should be able to see the speaker on its Bluetooth pairing list and connect to it. Once blue light turns turns solid blue, that means it’s already paired with your device. 4. Once connected, play music and enjoy.

My Clip 2 turns itself off after about 10 minutes of play. I have charged it overnight twice, so it has a full charge, and it turns off during a song, so it is receiving a signal when shutting down. It does it consistently after about 10 minutes.

Asked by: dbrambora
This is normal. What you are experiencing is due to the CLIP 2’s power saving feature. It is auto sensing and will turn off if no audio signal is detected for approximately 10 minutes. So, if you have the volume on the CLIP 2 cranked up, and the volume on your source device set really low, it is very possible that the CLIP 2 is not seeing enough of an audio signal to know to stay on. Please try turning the volume on the CLIP 2 down a bit, and then crank up the volume on your source device to get to the level you desire. This will send a signal to the CLIP 2 and it should stay on without any issues.

Does the JBL Clip 2 has the same sound as the JBL Flip 3/4 ?

Asked by: Michae2971
Both speakers produce clear and crisp audio. The CLIP 2 has an RMS of 3 watts while the FLIP 3/4 has 16 watts. With that said, the FLIP 3 is definitely louder, and generally more powerful, also provides more bass.

Can i pair two jbl clip 2's so i ca listen to same song but with two instead of one

Asked by: HaXzor
Yes, you can only pair two CLIP 2's together. The CLIP 2 has the feature "Wireless Daisy Chaining" that allows this to be done. Wireless Daisy Chain allows you to wirelessly connect two CLIP 2 speakers together to enjoy amplified sound. To do this – Pair your source device (phone, tablet, etc) to one of the CLIP 2s. Once paired, press and hold the Bluetooth button on both the CLIP2s for >5 seconds. An audible tone would indicate that the speakers are now paired.

Can I buy 2 of these Clips and 1 JBL charge 3 and sinc all together at once to get a surround sound on my projection system?

Asked by: Damo
Although you can wirelessly connect maximum of two CLIP 2 speakers together to enjoy amplified sound, however, it will not create stereo sound. Only 2 identical JBL Connect enabled speakers (PULSE 2, XTREME, FLIP 3 and CHARGE 3) can be connected at the same time to create stereo surround using an app called JBL Connect.

Can you pair the Clip 2 with the Flip 2?

Asked by: Kristenh
Unfortunately, there is no way to connect the two speakers together. The FLIP 2 does not have the wireless daisy chain feature of the CLIP 2.
