JBL Clip 2 is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 261.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have! I have two of the original clips so when the Clip 2 came out I did not hesitate to get one. The sound quality is amazing for its size and I like the longer battery life. We all have times when we need both hands free and not be impeded by a bulky speaker. This JBL delivers in every way I use it in these circumstances. This is not my only JBL Bluetooth speaker. I also have an Extreme and a Flip 4. The Clip 2 is my goto speaker when I go fishing because I need both hands to fish and with it clipped to my jeans belt loop its not going overboard on a wet, rocking boat.

Can the orange "clip" be used as a stand so it doesn't lay flat? If so, how? (It doesn't easily bend, so I gave up.)

Asked by: texdon17
The clip/hook cannot be used a s stand. It can be used to hook onto anything you see fit and take it on all your adventures.

Asked by: leroy55
The JBL CLIP 2 is compatible with Android and iOS devices as it uses standard Bluetooth Stereo Audio drivers. In pairing CLIP 2, press the Bluetooth button on the speaker and once the Bluetooth blinks turn on the Bluetooth of your phone. The name of the CLIP 2 will appear on your phone and just tap the name to complete the pairing process.

Can I turn off the power-saving feature in the speaker so that it can function as a hands-free unit while driving? Now turn off after a few minutes.

Asked by: Tomason
Unfortunately, we cannot disable the auto-off feature of the CLIP 2. It is a power saving feature included in most of our products wherein it will automatically turn OFF whenever it does not receive any audio signals for approximately 10 minutes.

My brand new Clip2 is alternately flashing red and blue. It will not turn off or on. It will not respond to any switch, or any combination of buttons. It is not pairing, or in fact, doing anything but flashing blue and red.

Thank you for taking time in sending your concern with us and we are sorry to hear about what you are experiencing with the clip 2. Please do a reset on your CLIP 2. While the unit is turned on, press and hold the Volume + and Phone buttons for more than two seconds. The CLIP 2 will turn off and this should reset your speaker. If none of this thing work, please submit a case request at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and the Customer Service team will be more than happy to further assist you.

I am unable to pair my CLIP 2 with my Bluetooth devices.  I've put the CLIP 2 in pairing mode as well as my Samsung galaxy 6s phone in pairing mode.  However, the CLIP2 is not being seen.  Is the another method I need to use?  Is there a reset required

Asked by: Tomd
What you are experiencing is not normal. Try pairing the CLIP 2 to a different source (smartphone or tablet). If this doesn't help, reset the CLIP 2 by pressing and holding the Phone and Volume + on the CLIP 2 while the unit is on. Once the unit turns off, it has been reset. If you are still experiencing the issue, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and our Customer Service team will be glad to assist you.

I put my clip 2 in the water and know it's not turning on what should I do?

Asked by: Dylanh88
The CLIP 2 is an IPX7 waterproof speaker but it has its limitations. You can only submerge it in the water for only 30 minutes. Prolonged submersion in the water will definitely damage the speaker. If your product is within the 1-year manufacturer's warranty, we would be happy to replace that for you. For your warranty options, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and the Customer Service team will be more than happy to further assist you.

What is the range of Bluetooth speaker from the device?

Asked by: Nine9
You can expect a Bluetooth range of 10 meters (32ft). Any large objects blocking the line of sight or wireless interference would cause signal range deterioration.

Both  speakers are connected according to my iPad but one of them isn't working. I've already done the resets. when I press the volume button up I hear a single prompt. It plays fine if I hard wire it. Pls advise

Asked by: Dood
To make sure that you have done the reset correctly, please press and hold the Phone and Volume + on the defective CLIP 2 while the unit is on. Once the unit turns off, it has been reset. Make sure to forget the CLIP 2 on your device first, restart it then pair it again with your speaker. If the issue persists, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and our Customer Service team will be glad to assist you.
