Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great speaker, Rugged but portable. I bought the flip 3 because I wanted a speaker with good quality and I tested it out in a store, I had to spend more than I thought I would but it was definitely worth it. It has great sound quality and my friends are very impressed with it. It is built so well as it has survived the shower and other water splashed on it but it is still giving great quality music. I am very proud of it and I take it everywhere. Definately recommend it.

Are the two speakers with the JBL Flip 3 connected to each other via blue-tooth or internet? I am placing these on a boat with no internet, but would like to have the two speakers in opposite ends of the cabin. If by blue-tooth, how far apart can they be

Asked by: Newport Sailor
Yes, the FLIP can be connected to each other via Bluetooth with the help of JBL Connect feature. Bluetooth range is normally up to about 10m(32ft), with no large objects blocking the line of sight or wireless interference . A distance farther than that would pose signal deterioration.

I just bought 2 JBL Charge speakers, and one Flip 3. I can only seem to pair 2 speakers, but not all 3. Is there any trick to help me?

Asked by: Shanny
I assume you are talking about the CHARGE 3. As of the moment, the CHARGE 3 and FLIP 3 can only connect up to 2 JBL Connect speakers together wirelessly. The CHARGE 3 will soon be part of the JBL Connect+ compatible devices that allows you to connect up to 100 speakers with this feature. However, we don't have an exact release date yet for the firmware upgrade. Please subscribe to our newsletter for product updates and releases.

Hello, i bought a jbl flip 3 in Colombia, but i have a question, how can i charge my flip 3?, just by pluging it into a pc? or can i also plug it into an iphone charger directly with electricty?

Asked by: Juan Aragón
It can be charged on a laptop/PC or directly on a wall outlet using any USB wall charger with an amp rating of at least 0.5 Amperes. Some will charge faster than others depending on the amp rating, but they will ALL work.

The FLIP 3's 3.5mm auxillary input is located at the back right beside the charging port.

I use JBL Flip 3 with Samsung Galaxy S6. Works OK inside, but outside the connection is OK for some minutes, then bluetooth disconnects. When reconnects, it's on for a couple of minutes and then disconnects again. Service says the device is fine. Help!?

Asked by: JKP13
This can be caused by interference in the area, to isolate the problem please try with other sources phone/tablet or follow the steps below to reset the speaker and re-establish connection. 1. Have the unit turned on. 2. While the speaker is on, press and hold "Vol -" and "Phone" buttons at the same time for more than 3 seconds. 3. Once the unit turns off automatically, the unit is RESET. 4. On you phone/tablet go to SETTINGS and go directly to BLUETOOTH. 5. Locate the speaker name "JBL Flip 3" anything in that nature then FORGET THE DEVICE. 6. Once the JBL Flip 3 is turned on, it will automatically go into PAIRING MODE. Pair you phone/tablet to the speaker to re-establish connection and use as normal, after performing the reset on the device and the issue persist. Please submit a case at https://www.jbl.com/support-contact.html our Customer Support team will further assist you.

Hello, my JBL Flip 3 microphone isnt working in Skype for Business and Polycom, it is working only in Skype. Checking the mic input in windows audio settings also doesnt show any mic input. The speaker is working without any problem.

Asked by: Janamarka
Please go to the setting on Skype and set the FLIP 3 as the device to use from the Microphone, Speakers, and Ringing drop-down lists. If this doesn't help, make sure you are using the latest version of Skype and you will need to ensure that the Bluetooth software and drivers on your PC are up to date.
