Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful speaker with great performance I am over the moon with the JBL Playlist. Everything from the size of it, to the quality audio it produces simply amazes me. I have used it every day since receiving it, both indoors and outdoors. In both settings the audio was flawless and clear, with amazing bass. The price is a tiny bit steep and I'd preferably fork out about £120 instead, but other than that it's a fantastic speaker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good choice The one with good soundstage and sound quality, which has in-built Chromecast and Bluetooth. Sound wise, jbl playlist is not a hifi speaker, though produces wide soundstage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from JBL Playlsit Speaker I was approved to review this product by review club, my first impressions were fairly positive. I was impressed with its sleek design and light weight, I did not know that it wasn't wireless which was a surprise but for what i use it for, it doesn't matter either way. I am still unsure of whether i am going to purchase the product at the end of the review process. My biggest concern at will be the price but that is only due to the vast range of speakers available.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality speaker I have had this for a couple of weeks, so thought I would write small review. It is very well packaged so if purchased online, it should arrive intact and undamaged. The JBL Play list looks good and seems to be very well made. It does not look out of place when sitting on a shelf or unit. The sound quality is very good for a speaker of this size, the volume can be turned up quite a bit before any distortion of the sound can be heard. I can see me using this more than our current stereo system, especially as it is easy to move into different rooms or even the garden (using an outside socket). Unfortunately, I have been unable to use the Chromecast. After searching the internet for answers, it seems there is an issue with Chromecast and a BT Smart Hub ☹ However, I have been using Bluetooth to connect and have so far had no issues with this at all. It’s a shame I cannot use the Chromecast function, but I’m still happy with the speaker build & sound quality. I have also had neighbours and friends have a play with the speaker and everyone has been very positive about it.

The PLAYLIST is not waterproof nor resistance, and exposing to such environment will eventually damage the speaker.

Hi I play my music from, in order, a) Amazon Prime b) iTunes c) YouTube. Is it worth me getting this speaker? Best,

Asked by: BMLondon
Hi, The JBL Playlist has Chromecast Audio built-in- So basically every streaming audio service that supports Chromecast can be used with the JBL Playlist. This includes Amazon Prime Music. iTunes and Youtube do not support Chromecast Audio, so if you want to stream audio from these sources, you will need to connect to the JBL Playlist by Bluetooth. If you require further information, please send us an email on customer.support@harman.com

Do you have to press a button to switch between Chromecast and auxiliary input mode or will it switch inputs automatically?

Asked by: g100
Hi G100, Thank you for your question. You will have to press play in the app you are using in order to use AUX and Chromecast there are no button press to switch between them, so to explain further, if you were playing Chromecast from a music source and starts playing from an analog source, then the Playlist will switch to the analog source, but connection via Chromecast will be disconnected. Going back to the Chromecast music source, the JBL playlist will reconnect to the service and then you press play to use that service. Contact us at customer.service@harman.com if you need more help.

[PROBLEM] I have sound delay issue. When JBL Playlist is connected via Bluetooth or WIFI there is a 0,5 to 1 second lag. It's very annoying while watching movies on YouTube. How to fix it?

Asked by: mikepoland
The JBL PLAYLIST is mainly designed for audio playback so using Bluetooth connection from the speaker to the TV will encounter this Lip-Sync issue. It is because the Video and Audio playback of the TV takes time to be process via Bluetooth going to the speaker. However, if you will be using wired connection via an Auxiliary cable, this will reduce the process of Audio Playback and it will resolve the Lip-Sync delay issue.
