Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I just bought this tonight to use with my Ipod Heard it demonstrated in Best Buy in comparison with all the other bluetooth speakers. this one had better overall sound than any of the others, (and I heard several,) many with a higher price tag. Got it home, synched it with my Ipod and put it to the test. It has very clear highs, powerful midrange and bass that thumps like the big boys. The woofers are only 63 mm in diameter but kick out bass like 12- 15 inch speakers I have heard on other devices pushing 100 watts or more. For even more effect,I set this speaker in a corner and it really came to life. The bass reverberates and you think you are listening to a system priced 10 times higher than you pay for this. Definitely worth the price. I have purchased JBL products before and have never regretted it. The JBL Extreme is yet another product I can add to that list. If you get the opportunity to see one demonstrated, go for it. You will be happy you did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Speaker I've ever had Bought this in January as a birthday gift to myself and I have not been let down! From North Carolina to California I've been playing music through this thing non stop and it turns every room into an instant theater! Defiantly recommend it. Plus the blue is actually a pretty cool color that expressed the worth of the speaker and it's performance.

I see references to using the Xtreme in "stereo mode" by connecting two of them, and I see references to the "stereo" Bluetooth protocol, but I see no info which confirms the Xtreme is a stereo unit, by itself. Please confirm one single Xtreme is stereo.

Asked by: StarMan
Yes, the XTREME is a stereo speaker on its own. It has two tweeters and woofers dedicated as right and left channel.

Why does Xtreme play bass only up to 70Hz, even though it has woofers?

Asked by: den4621
The woofer size usually dictates the frequency response a speaker can play. Big woofers mean deeper bass to most people, but there are many other factors as well. For the XTREME, the two woofers (63mm) and passive radiators were designed to produce bass down to 70Hz.

Is there a charger i can buy that uses usb to charge. I use it for camping and have no access to power besîdes 12v.

Asked by: Ads37
Unfortunately, there is none. The XTREME needs 19V 3A to charge due to its large battery capacity. USB chargers normally run at 5V.

Can jbl xtreme producing music via youtube (and others) without aux cable? And... can I use long aux cable (1-2 m) for my android phone to produce any sound like headphones? Tnx.

Asked by: Kiko1225
Yes it will produce sound from YouTube as long as the XTREME is paired to your device via Bluetooth. You can use an AUX cable and connect it from your phone to the AUX-in port of the XTREME.
