Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT speaker!! JBL sent this to my family as part of the Backstage Pass program and we were so excited. This speaker is a lot of fun and it makes it even more fun to listen to music with the light show on. I love that the speaker has more than one light show setting. However, my family has noticed that the bass is not as strong as that of our JBL Charge 3 speakers, and I wish all JBL speakers had rewind and fast forward buttons on them to give a truly hands free, wireless experience. Despite that, this is an amazing and very fun speaker to have.

Do the lights cause radiation of some sort. Even with Bluetooth is this completely safe to use?

Asked by: serious
If the speaker produces dangerous amounts of radiation, they would not be selling it, or the two models before this one. It is completely safe to use.

Yes. Stereo mode will only work if both speakers are the same model using the JBL Connect app. Party mode is the only available option when two different models are paired.

Can JBL Connect PLUS pair with JBL Connect?

Asked by: César Gb
At the moment, this is not possible. We are currently testing the CHARGE 3, and can not yet say if Connect+ will work on it. The hardware used in these products is different from that in the newer products, which come with Connect+ standard. If the results ( connectivity issues, product issues, quality issues ) are not in line with the high standard that we set for our products, we may not be releasing such an update to the Charge 3. If an update however will be possible, this update will be released through our JBL Connect mobile app, available on iOS and Android devices, and you will get a notification from within the app, telling you an update is available.

I'm going to be purchasing this but I have a JBL Xtreme, and I want to make sure that they can pair together with the JBL Connect feature? Will there be any flaws for the Xtreme being older or will it work okay?

Asked by: LillyPadPwnz
Currently only the Flip 4 can wirelessly connect to the Pulse 3 via JBL Connect Plus technology. Unfortunately the JBL Xtreme will not support this feature.
