Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome !!!! I bought this about a month ago and am blown away at how powerful it is, the sound quality, and the battery life. I took it to the beach here in Florida and had random people dancing and jamin around my spot at the beach. You could here it through the waves and wind. Everyoneone around loved it. It is way worth the investment. Highly recommended.

Can my JBL Xtreme be damaged by plug in an usb charger into the service port?

Asked by: dptferreira
Yes, this port is design for servicing only (firmware upgrade) and not for charging. If a charger is plugged into this port, it might cause internal problems on the unit, use the appropriate charging port to charge the unit.

Hi when my jbl xtreme is fully charged it only plays for about 30 to 40 minutes then suddenly shuts off, what causes that and how can i fix that problem?

Asked by: rodneysweetness
We're sorry to hear if you're having issues with our product. It sounds like the XTREME is no longer holding a charge. To determine where the problem is, please plug it in at an alternate power source and let it charge for 3.5 hours. If this doesn’t help, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and our Customer Service team will be glad to assist you.

Is it possible to adjust treble and/or bass on the JBL Xtreme?

Asked by: Extreme1
Our speakers, including the XTREME, are optimized to sound best with NO tonal adjustments and do not have an option to adjust bass or treble. Boosting frequencies to enhance bass and/or other sounds will likely result in reduced sonic quality and/or damage to the speakers. As an alternative, you can normally adjust this on the source device or on the application that you are using to play your audio.

we have just bought an Extreme love the sound my question is Why do the lights at the bottom not work? we do not know when it is fully charged roughly how long should it take and will the sound be affected by a low battery

Asked by: Judy W
When charging while turned ON, the XTREME’s battery indicator would show you that it is fully charged if all 5 LED lights are solid. But if you are charging while turned OFF, all 5 LED lights will go off once fully charged. If one of those battery indicators is blinking, that just goes to show that the battery is not yet fully charged.

What is the difference between the recertified and the normal one?

Asked by: napp
hi Thank you for your question Recertified products are products that have been returned to us by our dealers or retailers. These products have been thoroughly checked and tested to meet the high standards that are set by HARMAN. A recertified product contains the same features and functionalities as a new model, and we supply the same warranty with these products as with similar new ones. You may see some minor cosmetic imperfections, and perhaps the product has been repackaged, but you can be assured that these products will perform perfectly.

Asked by: TabooEight
This is a very good question. Unit has a built-in battery rated at 10,000mAh (37Wh), as per FAA regulations, passengers may be able to bring consumer products inside the plane limited to 12 volts up to 100 watt hours per battery. Please consult with your airline company to see if they will allow you to have this product as a Carry-on.
