Rated 5 out of 5 by from This speaker is SICK!!!! We bought this speaker last year because we were in need of a new outdoor speaker by our pool. I came across this one in the store and I am so glad I purchased it. The sound is awesome, especially with that built in (sort-of) sub-woofer vibration on its side. We connect it to our cell phone and be warned, this puppy can get LOUD LOUD LOUD, folks!!!! I am more than happy with this purchase. Actually thinking about getting 2 or 3 more so I can "surround sound" my pool!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bluetooth speaker If you want a bluetooth speaker with fuller sounds and bass than your average, look no further. I haven't used the handsfree speakerphone option for calls, but no issues with sound quality or operation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go to party speaker! Ive had the JBL Xtreme for a couple of years now and it has never let me down. I sync it with my JBL Charge 3 then place them in opposite corners of the room to fill it with sound and i also use one or the other to charge my tablet while playing so it never dies. In addition to the Xtreme i own the JBL Flip 3, the JBL Charge 3, and 4 JBL GO speakers but, the king of the hill is the Xtreme with it's deep base and clear highs! Its perfect for the type if music that i listen to often and accompanied with my charge 3 its a winning combination! Now my dream is to have 2 JBL Xtremes synced so i can really get the party going or really feel like I'm inside the movie when i use them as my surround sound system! Big thumbs up!

I purchased JBL Xtreme approximately 2 months ago. lately , I've been concerned due to "skipping", at times, while it's playing , it turns off . I have to wait a while and eventually it turns on again. what can be happening . how long is warranty ?

We apologize that your speaker is acting up which is not normal. Please do a reset to try and fix the issue. While turned ON, press and hold the “Phone” and “Volume +” buttons at the same time. The JBL Xtreme has a one year manufacturers warranty. How do I download the driver of JBL XTreme on a laptop with Windows 7 operating system?

The Xtreme utilizes the standard Bluetooth Stereo Audio drivers available in most laptops. There are two different Bluetooth protocols, one for Headset Audio used for talking on the telephone, and the other for high quality stereo audio listening. Being that the Xtreme is a speaker; your computer must connect to the Xtreme using the Stereo Audio protocol. Your best bet is to go into your control panel and find the Bluetooth setup. This setup usually provides a setup wizard and will take you through the steps to install the drivers needed for Stereo Audio.

My JBL Extreme speaker, which I bought in December 2015 doesn't seem to charge up any more. On full charge I get around 30 minutes of play time. I don't use it that much so it hasn't always been sitting on charge. BTW I've always only used the JBL charger

Hi Thank you for your question. The Extreme speaker should have more battery time then 30 min. You should contact the place of purchase, so it can be repaired, since it is still under warranty. if you experience problems you are also welcome to contact our help-desk.

Loving my new speaker, but im getting similar issues with charging as a few others by the sound of it... when charging the LEDS get up to 5 then go back down to 3, battery life seems OK but im worried about future problems. warranty up soon!

I had to replace my JBL Xtreme as there was loss of sound and distortion using the aux in but the replacement has the exact same problem. I tried two different wires - one a quality hi fi one. Both wires have 3 segments in the end jacks, should it be 4?

I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with the XTREME. It may be because the unit is being pushed beyond its capabilities. If you are cranking up the volume too high, it would result to distortion. And the loss of sound is likely that limiting that the unit does when it exceeds its capabilities. If this happens only at loud volume levels, you need to avoid cranking the volume up too high as the unit is reaching its limits. I noticed that you are in Scotland. If you are still experiencing issues, please contact the store where you purchased the unit and they will be able to help.

I could not connect my JBL xtreme to my MacBook Pro ( versão IOS 10.12.3). Why? It is not compatible?

The XTREME is compatible with the MacBook Pro and should connect without any issue. If you're having difficulty pairing them, it could be that the XTREME is already connected to another source. To initiate pairing mode on the XTREME, press the Bluetooth button and it should start flashing blue. You would also hear an audible tone indicating that the XTREME is ready to be paired. Once on this state, check your MAC again, and you should now see the XTREME on the list. If this doesn't help, clear the Bluetooth Cache of your Mac and reset the speaker – **With the XTREME ON, press and hold the VOL+ and Pause/Play buttons for 5-6 seconds. The XTREME shuts down, and is now reset. Reconnect your speaker and re-check your Sound Output Preferences. I noticed that you are in Brazil. If you are still experiencing issues, please submit a case at tecnica@harman.com and our Customer Service team will be glad to assist you.

I currently have two Flip 3s and two JBL Xtremes which I just got recently. Am I currently able to connect all 4 speakers together via JBL connect? If no, is there a workaround for it? Thank you much

Currently you are able to connect up to 2 JBL Connect-equipped speakers together wirelessly using their JBL Connect feature. However, you can connect more than 2 speakers using a aux cable splitters. Please see the instructions/work around below: 1.Connect the source (phone, tablet, laptop, and etc.) to your 1st and 2nd FLIP 3 or XTREME via 3.5mm Y-jack aux cable. 2.Enable both JBL connect features (see instruction guide) on the 3rd and 4th FLIP 3 or XTREME and connect it with either, 1st or 2nd FLIP 3 or XTREME. 3.Try playing Music on your source i.e. phone, tablet, laptop etc.

my xtreme no matter how long device on charge last light doesnt stop blinkinking also connection seems to cut in and out as if out of range but iphone6 is right next to it

This is normal. In some cases, the fourth/fifth LEDs would keep on blinking, but will not light up constantly, no matter how long charging continues and will show a constant light when unplugged. This is caused by tolerances in the circuits, and is no cause for alarm. The battery is charged to the same level. There is a high chance that it is because of EMI or electro-magnetic interference that interferes your Bluetooth connection causing your XTREME to disconnect or break. Bluetooth should work within 10 feet radius without any obstacle. Please do a reset to try and fix the issue. While turned ON, press and hold the “Phone” and “Volume +” buttons at the same time. If the issue still persists, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and our Customer Service Team will be more than happy to assist you.
