Hello, I have a Club 5501 and it is such a great amplifier ! But i run a pair of loud speakers ( eminence delta pro 12A) and I was wondering if there is a way to bypass the built in cross over? Because 320hz is a bit low for them... thx

Asked by: AntoineR
The Eminence speaker you have is a PRO audio mid-range driver, the CLUB 5501 is a car audio subwoofer amp. This amp may not be compatible with the speakers. Also, there is no way to bypass the crossover.

I try to run this amp on the H1 and H2 settings on the crossover but it don't work is this normal?I try to run midrange speakers with this amp but it's not working..

Asked by: Jason Martinez
Thanks you for your question. The HI1 and HI2 are level input settings. Select HI1 if you are using high-level outputs, select HI2 if you are connecting your CLUB amplifier to a factory audio system's speaker outputs. Be advised, the HI2 setting should never be used when the amp is connected to a aftermarket head unit's line-level (RCA-type) outputs.

Do you think my Rockford Fosgate T112d2 Power Stage 1 12" subwoofer.. thats run 600 rms and it's also 2 ohms peak 1200

Asked by: Dolph3055
Yes, the CLUB 5501 can power your Rockford Fosgate T112d2 Power Stage 1 12" subwoofer, as it can produce 550 watts of power, it might be lacking 50 watts to drive your subwoofer to its full potential but it is negligible. Just don't crank up the volume too much to prevent the CLUB 5501 from overheating.

This Amp auto detects 2ohm and 4 ohm? and if it detects what wire gauge do you Recomend for each impendence?

Asked by: Francisco Sousa
No, it doesn’t auto detect but runs at the impedance you put on it, that will be determined by the Sub. You would need to be sure you wire at 4 ohms or 2 ohms. If it’s incorrect then it might damage the amp. Preferably, a 12 gauge wire will work to the amp.

How would i hook up a 12 inch jbl mkii? It says that they can be ran at 3 and 12ohms.

Asked by: HeyTony95
Yes it can run at 12-ohms. You just need to connect the voice coils in series and it should be good to go. Although the CLUB 5501 may not be powerful enough to drive the speaker’s full potential.

do you think I will need a capacitor with this amp and a 300 watts rms and 1200 peak? my car has 74 amp batery, if it is needed how shoul i connect the capacitor to the amp?

Asked by: Francisco Sousa
Hi Francisco, Thank you for contacting us here. It is really difficult to answer your question, since we don't know what you will be connecting to this amplifier. Basically, if you'll only use one ( 10" or 12" ) subwoofer, it won't be needed to use an extra capacitor. Of course, if you want to play at a constant high volume, with high bass, and maybe use multiple subwoofers, it could be a good idea to have a capacitor installed. How to install it, and if it's needed or not is very much depending on what else you will install besides the amplifier, and I would like to suggest that you visit a car audio specialist, who will be able to tell you what is needed for your installation Of course, if you need more information, feel free to send us an email on customer.support@harman.com
