GX-A604 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great inexpensive amp! I'm using this amp driven by a JBL MS-8. The amp is a good step up from your typical 20W/channel systems. Very noticeable gain difference in that it plays loud and clean w/little distortion. Using 2 of 4 channels bridged for a passive sub and that works well too. Recommended.

Can I use this GX-A604 (setting 2 Ohtm to get 85W RMS x4 channel) to powered your speaker JBL GX-600C (2.3 Ohm impedance, 70W RMS) without loosing any single drop of sound quality?

Asked by: deathsatans
Absolutely yes, it would work great. Small difference of wattage between the amp and speaker will not affect nor compromise the sound quality.

Will this amp run well with the club 6500C package, a pair of GT7-6's and a S2-1024 sub, or do I need a 5 channel amp?

Asked by: Ryan11
Unfortunately you need a 5 channel amplifier in order to use all of those speakers, the GX-A604 can power up to 4 speakers only. Kindly check the Club 4505 specification below, it can support all 5 speakers. WOULD THIS BE THE RIGHT AMP FOR ME I HAVE 2 JBL - 6-1/2" Model: GX600C AND 2 JBL - 6" x 9" 3-Way Model: GX963 could this push them all

Asked by: 760alberto
Yes, the GX-A604 four-channel amplifier would work beautifully with the GX963 and GX602 speakers. This amplifier can drive up to 85W of power to a 2-ohm load speaker. The GX963 and GX600C can handle up to 100W and 60W continuous average, respectively.

Hello, I'll be using GTO 629 and GTO 609C on my car, will this amplifier be enough to run those speakers or you may recommend other amplifier?

Asked by: eric_gee
The GX-A604 amp has a output of 60w per channel at 4 ohms. The GTO 629 can handle 60w at 3 ohms and the GTO 609c is 90w at 3 ohms. At this rate, the GX-A604 amp will match the speakers' impedance, which will increase the power output a bit. GTR 104 which is rated 100W per channel at 4 ohms will also work for your speakers but will provide more power. End of the day, it will come down on how loud you want your speakers to play, because more power will distribute higher volume.

I have a GX-A604 amp and my plan is to use 2 channels to drive a set of GTO939's in the rear deck and the other 2 channels to drive a set of GTO629's and GTO19T's in the front. Will I have an impendence problem with the front speakers wired in parallel?

Asked by: Kevin E
The GTO629 are 3 ohm speakers, if you'll wire them in parallel to the GTO19T, it will cut the impedance in half (around 1.5 ohms). Also this would double the power output of the A604 amp from 85 to 170 watts, which it can't handle. Wiring in parallel will push out too much power to the speakers and drop the impedance really low, this is not recommended.

I bought this amp! I have an Infinity Reference 860w 8 inch subwoofer( 250 Watt RMS, 4 ohms) I am only hooking up this one sub...no other speakers. I'm not too sure how to wire it up though. Are they compatible?

Asked by: ghostoftoronto
You can bridge the subwoofer to this amp by using the rear set of wire terminals. Run wire from the sub's positive terminal to the amp's rear left positive terminal. Run a wire from the sub's negative terminal to the rear right negative terminal. Doing so will provide the sub with 170 watts RMS at 4 ohms but this will leave the other two channels unused. Also, this may help you on how the control switches needs to adjusted. - Set the input mode switch to 4 channel. - Set the high pass switch to ON. - Set the x-over switch to LP (low pass) - If needing more bass enhancement, switch bass boost to ON
