BassPro SL is rated NaN out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sound, great Value Bought A couple days ago, honestly didn't expect much bass out of it. But it really suprised me. Really great bass, it's very accurate, took me a couple days to get the sound I wanted from it but from tuning my stereo and speaker it sounds fenomenal. It's really worth the price just need to fine tune it to your taste. I have 07 Tacoma with the JBL system so switching OE Head unit and throwing one of these in there makes a really good combination. Also very easy to install and doesn't need much wire since it right under my seat. Overall great product. And loss of space

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than expected, you should really buy two! I just bought one for under the drivers seat in a Jeep Wrangler 4-door as part of a total JBL speaker upgrade from the factory basic sound system. This is great in a vehicle like a Jeep Wrangler where you want good sound but don't want a big subwoofer enclosure that will get stolen when the roof and doors are off. I didn't have high expectations due to its small form factor but it is a definite improvement in the low end response. It keeps up volume-wise fairly well with the amp built into my Pioneer AVH-4100NEX head unit (14w x 4). Having one under each front seat would definitely be ideal. Bass response below 40Hz is extremely limited, there is a steep low-end roll off but that allows for higher output volume without destroying the small 8" woofer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok but not enough I bought this to upgrade my 2017 accord system, which was very disappointing...i was expecting some improvement but all i got was a big bill for the installation

Do you need an amp for this sub?

Asked by: nectarbass808
The BASSPRO SL is a powered sub. It doesn’t need an amp. It can connect to a head unit as long as the head unit has a sub output.

Can you connect two together?

Asked by: Neogeo
It is not more of connecting them together but using two in one set-up – which is definitely possible, provided that your car battery/batteries can provide enough power for two of them. Since the BASSPRO SL is a self-powered subwoofer, you do not necessarily need to wire them together but simply run separate wires for them. For power and ground, generally, you have two options, to wire them individually or wire them with a distribution block. For the remote cable, you may find that a single remote turn-on lead is unable to handle the current draw demanded by multiple amps. One way to work around this issue is to connect the turn-on leads from your amps to a relay, which is triggered by your head unit. Now for the inputs, this depends on what your head unit offers, if it does have low-level (RCA) or high-level inputs (speaker wires). The BASSPRO SL can accommodate either form of connection and would require you to split the outputs from your head-unit to wire both amplifiers. It is important to remember to set the gain and crossovers at the same level.

Will this work with the factory radio in a 2016 Ford F150?

Asked by: Gonz11
Yes, the BASSPRO SL will fit in any car because it could be mounted wherever you choose, under a seat, in the trunk, etc. As for connection, it will work in virtually any car because it can be connected via speaker or line level connections, so it can be connected directly to the head unit, or it can be tapped into the speaker lines. Wiring will be needed, and it must be connected directly to the battery, and should be installed by a professional.

Can it change my original under seat subs for my e92 bmw 335 2007 ?

Asked by: Mart
Sorry, we have no information about built-in systems in cars, and can only suggest our one possible alternative, the Basspro SL, which you can check out on the JBL web page, to find out if it fits under there.
