So I want to buy two CS1214 what amp should I get to get the best prefomence. Wile supporting both subs?

Asked by: PaytC
Our best option would be the GTX-500 mono-block sub amplifier. When connecting two CS1214’s to this amplifier, the GTX-500 will see a 2-ohm load and drive the speakers up to 250W each speaker which the CS1214’s is actually what is rated to safely handle. This ensures that you maximize the capacity of your speakers, but not overpowering them.

What would be a good amp to support one CS1214?

Asked by: Dave15
This subwoofers can handle up to 250W of power @ 4-ohms. Any amplifier that can roughly deliver that much power would be great. We recommend either going with the GX-A602, it can be bridged to drive a 4 ohms with 170 watts RMS. If you are considering driving multiple speakers alongside the CS1214 the CLUB 4505 is a good choice. It can drive a 4 ohm sub with 320 watts RMS.

It will fit my car but where and how is the best place to locate, trunk, floor, other?

Asked by: HEGAWN2
This speaker is sold as a raw driver without an enclosure because most setups will be a customer installation. You can put the sub anywhere you decide works for you. For example, if you want to build an enclosure that will fit on the floor in the back seat, that will be fine. But most people will opt to install it in the trunk.

For 2 of these 12" subs what size box would you recommend and what amp would be ideal? Thanks :)

Asked by: AndyClaz
Hi Thank you for the questions you should calculate the cabinet size for one driver using Thiele/Small parameters and double the cabinet volume and the number Bass-reflect tubes. I would recommend the GTR-1001 or GTR-601, The GTR-1001 would be the best one. If you have further questions, please contact our help-desk.

how many cubic feet should i give each speaker

Asked by: timtom
If you are looking for tight accurate bass, your best bet is a 1 cubic foot sealed enclosure. If you are running 2 speakers in the same box, all you have to do is double the space, making it 2 cubic feet.

If I am putting two of these in my car what would be a good amp to go with it?

Asked by: NickyG03
These subwoofers can handle up to 250W of power @ 4-ohms. So ideally, any amplifier that delivers this much power would be great. A recommendation would be the GX-A604, a four-channel amplifier that can drive 170W per bridged channel @ 4-ohms. The GX-A604 can already accommodate both of your CS1214. Or another option would be the GX-A3001, a mono-amp that can drive up to 200W per subwoofer, you need two of these if this is what you prefer.

Just a I have a Alpine mvr-p300 with 150 RMS at 4 ohms would this be enough for the cs1214 that holds 250 RMS or would the 10 inch that holds 125 RMS be better.

Asked by: Driveline
Absolutely. The CS1214 can handle the power rating of the Alpine MVR-P300. Any car amp with a power output of 250 watts per channel or less will work fine with these speakers.

This car I bought, has JBL speakers in the front(2) and rear(2). I want to have the cs1214 as well to match. What is a good amp to get/you recommend? A 4 channel or 5 channel? Everything is all wired, I just need to plug the wires in a sub and amp.

Asked by: LostBoy
You may consider the CLUB 4505 amplifier. This is 5 channel amp capable of driving four full ranged speakers and a subwoofer.
