Era-definingsound. Magnetic legacy

A new bass-line has been set in audio performance. 67 years in the making, we can safely admit it: we’ve pulled off another loudspeaker series that's powerful, precise, or hedonistically refined. It is our new 10-piece JBL® Studio 2 Series. And we never could have done it without engineering the likes of our new SUB 260P powered subwoofer. Tested relentlessly in the world’s finest sound research lab – our own – as well as pitted against competitors in real world comparative listening studies, we’ve created a powered subwoofer that leaves all others behind. An era-defining 12” PolyPlas low-frequency transducer powered by a 300-watt Class-D high-efficiency amplifier delivers sound that’s indisputably pure and potent. A rear-firing Slipstream bass port goes beyond anything you’ve ever heard before when it comes to undistorted opulence of sound. And your ears will be confounded by the richness and rawness of tight, accurate bass complete with flawless harmonic overtones and natural note decay. With signature touches like luxurious gloss black paneling, solid cabinet construction with soft-rounded edges and no visible fasteners, and a choice of either a Black or an Espresso woodgrain finish, will do for your eyes what our bass will do for your ears. We’ve combined the power and precision of high-tech audio with the sleek urbanity of “it-factor” design. For those able to hear the truth, we’re confident you’ll hear it at first listen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Deep Bass Sound! I bought this Subwoofer about 2 weeks and half ago. I am extremely happy with the sound. Also, this Subwoofer was on sale, so I liked the price as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It thumps Just hooked mine up to compliment my JBL towers and Harmon Kardon Reciever. The towers are top of the line and my last sub couldn't play loud and clear enough to keep up with them. Not an issue anymore.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Discontinued and Disappointed Buyers beware, this sub is currently discontinued! This subwoofer was discontinued by JBL Harman less than a year after I purchased it. The board randomly went out on mine, just after the warranty period expired. Even though I was disappointed to discover the warranty period was short, compared to their competitors, I was willing to pay to fix it myself. Since this product is discontinued, parts are no longer available. I am left with a useless sub now.

The ES250P has an RMS wattage rating of 400 watts while the SUB 260P has 300 watts. You should be able to match the levels without any issues.

Will this studio 260p supports global ac power voltage ? 110 to 230v @ 50 - 60 Hz.

Asked by: Sibin
The subwoofers sold in this US site are US models, so they are 110 volt versions. A step down transformer can be used, however, I would recommend getting a subwoofer from a local store for warranty reasons.

I have need one set of speakers for home theater size of theater ix 22×18th Pl advice suitable speakers.

Asked by: Raj kumar
There is no correct answer to your question. Here are the general rules to picking out speakers for your system. 1. Make sure the receiver can handle the impedance/ohms of the speakers. Typical impedance and 8 ohms and is almost never a problem. 2. Make sure that the speakers you choose can handle the power rating of your receiver. If you have a 100 watt per channel receiver, be sure the speakers you choose have a wattage rating of 100 watts or higher. 3. Stick with the same series of speaker, so that all of the speakers have the same sonic tonal quality, giving you a seamless transition when sound travels from one speaker to another. For example, if you select the ARENA 180 floor standing speakers for your front speakers, be sure to select the ARENA series center and bookshelf speakers for your rears.

The Studio Sub 260P replaces the Studio Sub 250P and not the ES 250 P.

I purchased this subwoofer, and it has since been discontinued. The board on my sub has since gone out. How can I find replacement parts for this? I took this to a local speaker repair shop and they could not find any replacement parts.
