Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome sound quality, bang for the buck! I got this on sale, they exceeded my expectations , they sound better than the E50bt, plus the driver is bigger so my ears feel more comfortable. They are light and they feel more fragile than the E50 bt , however the quality is good. they sound better than the Everest 300 ( to my perception). Good bass quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pure Brilliance! Changing up from the E50 BT headset, this one is a must! The sound is equally brilliant, while now catering for an ergonomic fit around your ears. On JBL's headsets, the sound has been and will probably continue to be - simply put - breathtaking. It's not overpowered with bass as you'll find in most other headsets - no. JBL's headsets always seem to cater for a complete listening experience. Balanced with low-end punchy beats through mid and crystal clear highs. The Bluetooth connectivity has always been a must for me, especially as a wire free person. One is free to move about without worrying over cable damage/reach. With the addition of listening from two separate Bluetooth devices, I can now connect my desktop pc and my phone without ever needing to change headsets! Hoping the build quality on these are better than the 3 separate sets I owned of the E50 BT

Hi. My headphones worked great. But after some days the sound became "thinner" and more dry and digital. Any ideas on what happened? Runar

What you are experiencing is not normal. Please try another source and if nothing happens, please contact your local support. I noticed that you are from Norway, if the unit is still under warranty you may contact the point of sale for warranty claim.

can i use this headphones for workout, are they sweat and water proof or have noise cancellation?

Asked by: hulk
Unfortunately, the E55BT headphones are not sweat or water proof. Over exposure to either on of these elements can cause significant damage to the audio or controls. Although the E55BT is an over the ear headphone, it does not have an Active Noise Cancellation Feature. If you are interested in Noise Cancellation, please check out our Everest Elite Series models, thank you!

Hi I just bought E55BT and it does not connect to my apple watch Series 2 It says " Make sure jbl is turned on, in range, and is ready to pair " . All are done but still doesn't work. Does anyone know how should I connect it ? Thanks

Asked by: Khashayar
Had the same problem with the same error message. Just a simple restart of Apple Watch helped in my case. Also, try putting your iPhone into Airplane mode, just to be sure it''s not interfering with the pairing. Hope it helps.

Can you use your apple adapter to charge your JBL E55BT in the outlet?

Asked by: Jefrench
Though the JBL E55BT has a rated power input of 5V 100mA(1A), it is completely safe to use a wall adapter that can drive 5V 2A of charge to the unit. This will not cause any harm to the battery.

These headphones work great for music via BT, but for calls, there is a lot of distortion. If I switch the call to the phone for audio output, the call is fine. This has been a persistent issue. Is there a fix? Phone is iPhone6.

Asked by: sonarc
There are 2 possible reasons why the audio distorts on your E55BT during your phone call. 1.BT connection issues. Your phone is placed in a location where it has a difficult time having a stable connection to the headset. 2.If positioning is not a concern. Your phone’s signal may not be that strong which causes a signal distortion. To isolate the issue, please try using a different source. If this doesn't help, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and our Customer Service team will be glad to assist you.

Hi, I have a two questions. a) The sliding power swtich is getting stuck if pressed and slide. Is this a manufacturing defect or do I need to be careful while switching on the power button? b) What's the use of the bluetooth button near the microphone?

Asked by: Wreet
Hi, To answer both your questions: a) The power switch should not get stuck, even when pressed a little while sliding. This may indicate a product defect. I would like to suggest you take your headphones back to the store where you bought these, and have them take a look at it. Alternatively, if you bought them through our webshop, or if the shop won't/can't help you, please send us an email on customer.support@harman.com b) When you need to pair your headphones with a different mobile device, you can press and hold the Bluetooth button >2 seconds, and your headphones will be in pairing mode again. It should show up on mobile devices again, so you can pair with the headphones

Just purchased JBL55BT headphones and it seems that I can't connect them to my Windows 7 PC because of the driver issue. Any suggestions how this can be done?

Asked by: Karlis
The E55BT utilizes the standard Bluetooth Stereo Audio drivers available in most computers. There are two different Bluetooth protocols, one for Headset Audio used for talking on the telephone, and the other for high quality stereo audio listening. Being that the E55BT is a speaker; your computer must connect to the E55BT using the Stereo Audio protocol. Your best bet is to go into your control panel and find the Bluetooth setup. This setup usually provides a setup wizard and will take you through the steps to install the drivers needed for Stereo Audio.
