How does the JBL charge 3 compare to the control X

Asked by: JoeP
There are a number of differences between the CHARGE 3 and the CONTROL X WIRELESS. Here are some of the main differences – Amplifier – The CHARGE 3 is rated at 2 x 10W, while the CONTROL X WIRELESS is rated at 30W per channel RMS (AC mode) WATERPROOF – The CHARGE 3 is rated as IPX7 waterproof, while the CONTROL X WIRELESS is neither splashproof nor waterproof Battery Life – The CHARGE 3 can play up to 20 hours, while the CONTROL X WIRELESS plays up to 4 hours (battery life for both speakers varies by volume level and audio content). The main difference of running the speaker from the internal battery versus AC power would be bass response. In order to conserve/extend the battery, there is a decrease in bass (volume and amplifier power remains the same).

Do the speakers wake on Bluetooth? If have 4 speakers (primary is accessible). My other secondary speakers have permanent power but are high up and not easily accessible. If I turn on the primary will the others wake up or do I need a ladder?

Asked by: Quinnie
Hi, Yes, the speakers ( unless you power them off manually ) will be in standby mode when not used, and will get woken by a signal from the primary Control X Wireless. So you can leave your ladder in the shed, and enjoy music at any given time :) If you require more information, please contact us on customer.support@harman.com

I have a receiver .A standard pair of JBL speakers is connected to this receiverat the R+L sound connector . What this Control X Wireless will be bring more? Can I have the 4 Speakers (Standard + Wireless) working simultaneously?

Asked by: BPLANET
CONTROL X Wireless are standalone units that cannot be paired to other speakers, unless they are another pair of Control X Wireless speakers. However, If your receiver has a preamp output, you can connect it to the aux input on these speakers. Doing so you’ll be able to play these and your other JBL speakers at the same time.
