Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Bought these speakers for my gym. Wanted Bluetooth wireless with as good a sound as possible. Every other wireless speakers I've owned don't even come close to the build and sound quality of these. I was expecting to have to compromise a little on my expectations of sound quality, The only compromise I've found myself making is making sure I don't turn them up too much. For the sake of the neighbours! Amazing rich bass, crystal clear mid and top end volume to spare without ever breaking up or clipping. Expensive but so so worth it.

The turntable does have a preamp so I am asking if it is connected to one speaker via aux in can the other speaker pair to that one via Bluetooth?

Asked by: MacDaragh
The speakers L and R will play in association (connected wireless). Whether the source is over Bluetooth or auxiliary both speakers will play audio.

Can you connect one of the speakers via aux to a turntable and pair the other speaker wirelessly so you can hear your vinyl in a different area in the room?

Asked by: MacDaragh
This is not possible since the turntable will require a pre-amp to work. This product is designed to accept mainly Bluetooth streaming technology and the ability to add an additional pair of speakers.

what is the bass response decrease when operating on batteries versus AC?

Asked by: Bigfoot
The Control X Wireless speaker’s frequency response and amp power are the same in both AC and battery mode. However in battery mode, you may notice a minimal decrease in the dynamic audio output of certain source content.

What is the sound decibel level in battery mode at the maximum (non-distorted) volume level and what is it in the AC mode?

Asked by: Bigfoot
There is no documented information on that since we do not rate our speakers by decibel level. What we can confirm with you is that the volume is louder if the JBL CONTROL X WIRELESS is in AC mode since it puts out 30W per channel RMS.

How does the JBL charge 3 compare to the control X

Asked by: JoeP
There are a number of differences between the CHARGE 3 and the CONTROL X WIRELESS. Here are some of the main differences – Amplifier – The CHARGE 3 is rated at 2 x 10W, while the CONTROL X WIRELESS is rated at 30W per channel RMS (AC mode) WATERPROOF – The CHARGE 3 is rated as IPX7 waterproof, while the CONTROL X WIRELESS is neither splashproof nor waterproof Battery Life – The CHARGE 3 can play up to 20 hours, while the CONTROL X WIRELESS plays up to 4 hours (battery life for both speakers varies by volume level and audio content). The main difference of running the speaker from the internal battery versus AC power would be bass response. In order to conserve/extend the battery, there is a decrease in bass (volume and amplifier power remains the same).

Do the speakers wake on Bluetooth? If have 4 speakers (primary is accessible). My other secondary speakers have permanent power but are high up and not easily accessible. If I turn on the primary will the others wake up or do I need a ladder?

Asked by: Quinnie
Hi, Yes, the speakers ( unless you power them off manually ) will be in standby mode when not used, and will get woken by a signal from the primary Control X Wireless. So you can leave your ladder in the shed, and enjoy music at any given time :) If you require more information, please contact us on customer.support@harman.com
