Bluetooth connected, no sound transmitted. Win 10 pro. CSR Bluetooth Radio USB dongle. Anyone know why, have a fix?

The E40BT COACH Limited Edition utilizes the standard Bluetooth Stereo Audio drivers available in most laptops. There are two different Bluetooth protocols, one for Headset Audio used for talking on the telephone, and the other for high quality stereo audio listening. Being that the E40BT COACH Limited Edition is a speaker; your computer must connect to the E40BT COACH Limited Edition using the Stereo Audio protocol. Your best bet is to go into your control panel and find the Bluetooth setup. This setup usually provides a setup wizard and will take you through the steps to install the drivers needed for Stereo Audio.

I recently bought the JBL E40 BT. I got them to listen to the TV. I also bought an aluratec receiver to go into the audio out jack on the receiver. They paired once when I first got them. Now they wont pair at all. Wont pair with mpow either.

Asked by: Gloria
Please make sure that the E40BT is on pairing mode. While the headphones are ON, press and hold the Bluetooth button. The LED should start flashing, indicating that the E40BT is now ready to pair. Turn your Bluetooth device ON and you should now be able to connect to the headphones. You mentioned that this was bought recently, if you are still experiencing issues, please contact the local or online store where you bought it from and they will be able to help. If this was purchased from us directly, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and our Customer Service team will be glad to assist you.

I want to use my E40BT phones to listen to my tv, which does not support BT. So I bought a BT transmitter which has 3 low latency modes, but there is such a degree of delay in receiving the sound that the voices on the TV are not in sync at all.

Asked by: gregm1948
We don't typically recommend using Bluetooth headphones for TV viewing as it takes longer for Bluetooth to transmit audio than it does for the TV to process the video, causing a lag/sync issue.

We have 2 pairs of the E40 BT headphones and when plugged into a power source the led light stays red no matter how long they are plugged in for. Is there a way to tell how much battery life you have or if the headphones are charging?

Asked by: Wrestler1255
The LED should light up red when charging, and changes color to white when charging is complete. The E40BT charges for 3 hours from 0-100% using the cable provided with the unit @5V1A. Please note, charge time will significantly increase when using lower amperage micro USB charger.

My boyfriend and I both have JBL E40BT headphones and have used Share Me technology often. Lately, we have had an issue with the sound cutting in and out quickly and then eventually cutting out completely on the headphones that are sharing the sound.

Asked by: koicapps
Sorry to hear that you are having issues with the E40BT. Bluetooth’s maximum range is 10 meters on a perfect set-up without interference (i.e. other wireless devices, concrete walls/divisions). Try a different source to isolate the issue. If this doesn't help, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and our Customer Service Team will be glad to assist you further.
