Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific sound at this price! We've had this for almost a year now. We got it so we could get rid of some bedroom furniture and wall-mount it with our TV in our bedroom. It puts out terrific, clear audio for such an entry-level soundbar. We crank it up quite a bit and it almost sounds better at higher volumes. BT is easy to connect and never has any issues. I might have gone with a higher model, but we didn't want a soundbar that was wider than our TV. We have a 40" Samsung and it is sized perfectly. We do, very occasionally, hear a loud 'pop' from the sub like someone else mentioned, but I've always attributed it to the sub's location. We have a platform-style bed in our bed room and the sub is under it in the corner closest to the TV and soundbar. The sub is not inhibited at all by its placement. It may even help with the sound. No real complaints. Highly recommended!

The SB 250 I have turns off on it's own, it gets louder or soft on it's own. The sound goes out when going from one channel to another or one source to another. What can I do to resolve this issue?

Asked by: rmondragon
If the volume changes on its own going from one channel/source to another, it is possible that you have not enabled the HARMAN VOLUME. With this feature, you can set your desired volume between low, medium and high. You can listen to your audio without sudden distracting changes such as blasts from ads, and volume variations as you switch between channels on your TV. Other benefits include full sound effects even at low volumes, this means if you are watching movies (DVD, BlueRay disc) and HARMAN VOLUME is set to low volume, then the signal is more compressed, than what the other volume levels is. This will allow you to hear natural, consistent sound at low volume level, and not only hearing voice conversation from movies, giving you the same movie experience just with lower volume. What is best for you is a matter of personal preference, so we recommend playing around with the three different levels. If this is not the case, you may try to do a reset by following the instructions below: 1. Unplug the units from the power outlet and plug them back in after 5 minutes. 2. In standby mode (amber light), press the Volume - ( minus ) and Surround buttons at the same time for 5 seconds until the unit turns on. 3. The device is now reset. 4. Pair both the soundbar and the sub again. If the issue is not resolved, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and our Customer Service team will be glad to assist you.

Moved both items to another room still no pairing. When the sound bar is turned on the pairing blue light comes on every time on the sound bar. I do not push it on. No pairing takes place

Asked by: JerryS S
I am sorry about the issue you are having with your SB250. Please follow the steps below: 1. Unplug the units from the power outlet and plug them back in after 5 minutes. 2. Turn both the soundbar and the sub on. The light should be amber, meaning it is in standby mode. 3. Press and hold the pairing button on the soundbar first until it blinks fast, meaning it is already in pairing mode. 4. Press and hold the pairing button on the sub until it blinks fast. After blinking for seconds, the LED will stop blinking and remain a solid blue color when paired. If you are pairing the unit for the first time, it might take a while for the units to pair. If you are still unable to pair them, try doing a reset by following the instructions below: 1. In standby mode - Press "Volume-" (minus) button and "Surround mode" button simultaneously for approx 3 seconds 2. Once the soundbar turns on, it has been reset. 3. Repeat the pairing process. If issue is still not resolved, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and our Customer Service team will be glad to assist you.
