Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best got Better Upgraded from the SB300 to the SB450 last week. Unbelievably better in all regards. The soundbar itself it extremely crisp and detailed. The subwoofer is more smooth and twice as powerful. Bravo JBL, you've done it again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from JBL SB 450 Bought this last week; great performance but lacks the on-screen display. The settings including bass & Herman volume can only be controlled through the remote control and there's no visual way to check your settings. I'll strongly recommend JBL to provide an on-screen display through a system update. Thanks.

Which one is the better option  Thru HDMI cable or the OPTIC cable to connect to TV

Asked by: Satyender
Both HDMI and optical pass digital audio from one device to another. Both are better than analog (the red and white cables). Both can pass multi-channel audio. The biggest difference is that HDMI can pass higher-resolution audio In terms of simplicity, HDMI also passes video signals. So if you want just a single cable between two devices, HDMI would be better.

Hi, i just got the new SB450 . how i can now that the "Harman Volume" is on or off? how i can now if thier is any firmware update update ? do you have any app that work with SB450 ?

Asked by: schnitz
You can turn Audio Feedback ON with the remote control to hear an audible indication for Harman Volume ON/OFF settings. As of the moment there is no firmware update for the SB450. You can check our website www.jbl.com from time to time to check if we are going to release a firmware update for SB450. The JBL CONNECT app will not work with this speaker, nor will it support stereo music playback when linking two SB 450s together. The JBL CONNECT feature of the SB450 will only let you wirelessly daisy chain two speakers.

Why can I NOT connect multiple JBL CONNECT enabled speakers like your JBL 450 spec sheet promises?

Asked by: Ronette
The JBL Connect feature will only allow 2 multiple JBL Connect enabled speakers such as the FLIP 3, BOOST TV, CHARGE 3, XTREME and PULSE 2, to be connected at the same time.

Can I add speakers to this system? I purchased this system a couple weeks ago and I would like to expand it if it is possible

Asked by: Syph77
No. The SB450 (similar to all our soundbars) are stand-alone units and additional speakers cannot be connected to it, may it be wired or wireless.

Does the SB450 have Bluetooth security with a configurable password? The SB400 has no Bluetooth security -- anyone can connect to the soundbar and play music, even if the device is turned off, without a password.

Asked by: rybu
Unfortunately, there is no security feature that you can use for the SB 450 to prevent other people from connecting to it.
