Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love JBL I am a professional Installer at Best Buy. I always promote the JBL products because they sound great. I'm stoked that JBL has made the leap into the Indash unit. This is very bold and I hope it does well. $400 for an indash with carplay and android auto is an absolutely amazing deal. I cant wait until I get a chance to install this unit. I'm definitely buying one of these!!! To customers that don't know if this radio will fit their vehicle: This is a double din radio. It is a standard size. Most newer vehicles will accept this radio. If you have any questions, call best buy and we will be happy to tell you if it will fit in your vehicle. To JBL: Keep up the great work!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from does it really connect wirelessly to iPhone?? I searched online and found the installation/owners manual just to see how much work there would be to install this JBL CP100 and it became apparent that Bluethooth only connects handsfree talk but not anything else. A lightning cable connection is still required to display maps and other functions.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's certainly a great step forward for after market CarPlay & Android Auto devices. However, the capacitive touch display with 138.2 DPI/PPI native screen resolution in today's mobile environment is hugely disappointing. For most users it won't sit well to view the extensions of their mobile device in lower native resolutions than their hand held ones. As the device display is the most important component of any mobile hardware that acts as an interface of the auto infotainment system. This is where you view colors & read text of control buttons and contents. I hope JBL would soon upgrade the poor native screen resolution & color gamut. I myself can't wait to get some hands on experience as soon the current one becomes available.

Will Waze navigation work with this unit (displayed on touchscreen)?

Asked by: WbDubya
If Waze decides to support Carplay then it will work on this headunit.  In December Waze posted this on Twitter in response to a question about Carplay support, "No plans as of now but Auto Android is on the way".

Why 1A charging via USB and not 2.4A? An iPhone 6 Plus doesn't even charge at 1A most of the time. 2.4A would have been a much better design!

Asked by: Joe A
Please confirm that this will at least maintain the battery level while driving rather than allowing the cell phone battery to be depleted under use. For example: If I start the car with 50% battery remaining on my iPhone and drive for an hour, using Maps and playing iTunes, will the battery be at 50% or more after the drive?

To "Randy at JBL" (or anyone else at JBL), in response to Cneb's question about the rear camera support you stated, "Depending the OEM this should connect at no problem no adapters needed". Can you elaborate?

Asked by: Andrwmac
Thank you for your reply, the standard yellow composite RCA jack for rear view camera will fit on the CP100 Legend

I was very interested in this unit, but appalled that it does not have subwoofer out and HPF, so, won't consider it...this is basic for today's car stereos. I own a JVC single DIN basic unit that has subwoofer out and HPF that was $50 3 years ago.

Asked by: benji888578
Thank you for your question, sorry it does not meet your requirement, we do have amplifiers that is a 5 channel amp that controls the subwoofer.

Is it known which 3rd party steering wheel interfaces will be compatible with the CP100? Will the boot screen be customizable? What configuration options does the reverse camera have? Does it have grid lines?

Asked by: _dcl
Thank you for your question At 399.00 being able to customize the boot screen was not an option. We we’re trying to provide the best audio performance in tandem with Car Play and Android Auto. There are no configuration options for backup camera. There is a tiger wire that needs to be connected as part of the hookup along with a third party camera input to the unit. There are no gridlines. In terms of the steering wheel control, I know that the Maestro modes sold by crutchfield work great.

Crutchfield is listing this with the following inputs, "inputs: rear USB input, rear AUX input, rear-view camera input" Does it really have a rear 3.5mm AUX input?

Asked by: NickStarr
The unit does not have a 3.5mm input jack. However,  outboard audio devices can be connected VIA the USB connection.
