Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall Great I bought this a month ago and havnt had any problems since! I use this mostly in my room as a replacement for my pioneer passive system as that is just way too loud for general use. This speaker however does more than just act as a replacement. The sound quality surprised me, the bass at first was way to overpowering but that was due to my phones equalizer. The bass as you can see from the picture the bass resonates from the sides and the mids and highs come from the main body of the speaker. The speaker sounds great and fills the room. In terms of connectivity after the first pairing its great. As soon as a turn the speaker on it will connect to my phone without the need to go onto my Bluetooth settings which is great. I've taken it to all social gatherings since and continues to amaze with people asking me what make/where is it from/how much was it. I've always been one to say 'you get what you pay for' and in this case i couldn't agree more. I would recommend this speaker or any of the JBL set to anyone as they are sturdy, loud, great sound and are worth every penny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard hitting Bass! For the purposes of this review, I have 2 JBL Xtremes and use them both for Massage Therapy and Group Fitness Classes in a Basketball Gymnasium: Pros: Loud. Big sound. Clear Sound. No distortion. Easy to pair and stereo mode sounds great. Overall range in sound is full, rich, and warm, but quickly switches to hard hitting powerful bass when the song calls for it. Overall, you can't help but grin when you crank up your favorite song and experience the XTREME sound these speakers put out. Cons: No update for Connect +. Would be nice if I could pair up with my Flips, Charge 3's, and Boombox. Also, from time to time, I'm experiencing some "static" noise as if there is a bad connection. However, I use Xtremes in either my Massage Therapy room, or out in the Gymnasium and they are typically within 10 feet of each other, and my iphone 8 is usually within 10 feet of speakers. The static usually goes away, and usually does not last long. I've verified all devices and speakers are fully charged. Even though there is some static from time to time, like I said, it usually clears up, and overall sound quality is great.

I bought JBL xtreme last night , it works fine when i plug it to power but as soon as i remove the cable it automatically switches off and doesnt turn again. How can i know if the battery is good? When charging it a white led light is blinking at bottom

I have the exact same problem. 8 month of very limited ise and the battery is kaput. Is it repairable by the customer or does it have to be returned?

My bluetooth speaker doesn't seem to be charging properly. When plugged in, I never see more than one light blinking and then only lasts (max) 1 hour of playing at approximately half volume. I've tried multiple power sources, still have the problem.

What you are experiencing with the JBL Xtreme is not normal. You may try charging it in different power outlets and try using other chargers. You may also trying doing a reset on the speaker by having the Xtreme ON, press and hold the VOL+ and Pause/Play buttons for 5-6 seconds. The Xtreme shuts down, and is now reset. If you're shill having issues using the JBL Connect feature, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and the Customer Service team will be more than happy to assist you.

How many JBL Xtreme can be linked together?

Asked by: alliv
Joe G you are wrong.   JBL Connect  units can only pair, or link two speakers together.     JBL Connect+ units can connect to multiple other units, but it must be a connect+ enabled unit.          JBL needs to be MUCH more clear about this - as we've just purchased a group of Xtreme's, because the markting says multiple, and the app says 150 or more.        BE MORE CLEAR, or update the software so everything is Connect+ enabled.

When will the Xtreme receive the Connect Plus firmware upgrade?

Asked by: pryjdat
I think JBL has decided to abandon the project of doing a firmware upgrade. I bought a JBL Xtreme for Christmas and less than a month later I'm told at CES 2018, they decide to do a hardware upgrade instead. Already owning a Charge 3 which I upgraded to pair with my Flip 4, I now have nothing to pair with the Xtreme. So unless they decide to give us the upgrade anyways, I don't think we will ever see it

have you tried turning on the bluetooth button on the speaker itself? the speaker won't be discover-able on your phone unless you do so.
