JBL Trip is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works in my old convertible! With all the wind, engine, and road noise, this compact and very sturdilly built unit has outstanding clarity for receiving and also is very clear to those I'm speaking with. The duration it holds a charge is also excellent. I wish my 2014 car with built in bluetooth was as clear.

Can JBL Trip be connected to a laptop running Windows 8? Mine seems unable to. If it can, may I ask how to do it?

Asked by: bonita27
Yes. It is possible that your laptop simply does not have the necessary/updated drivers to stream audio via Bluetooth. The TRIP does not require any specific drivers. It utilizes the standard Bluetooth Stereo Audio drivers available in most computer. Your best bet is to go into your control panel and find the Bluetooth setup. This setup usually provides a setup wizard and will take you through the steps to install the drivers needed for Stereo Audio.

I notice that the Trip seems to handle 2 Bluetooth connections, but will not restore both upon startup. Is there anyway to restore multiple Bluetooth connections automatically?

Asked by: Jay O
Being that the TRIP can only connect one device at a time, there's no way to restore multiple Bluetooth connections automatically upon startup.

Which adapter should i use for charging JBL trip (input and output)? Is it okay if i use USB port for charging? And how long for a fully charge? Thanks JBL

Asked by: Bang Phan
You can use any regular adapter which has a USB port to hook up the charging cable. You can also charge it from your computer or laptop via USB Port. Since the TRIP has a 1200 mAh Lithium-ion battery, charging time would take around 2-3 hours. Please note that the charging time will significantly decrease if you use a charger with higher output (using 2A and above charger, wall outlet).

What are the unit operating tempature below 0 ?

Asked by: vectorw16
As long as you can be sure the units are dry, they won't be harmed. It's not the sub-zero temperature that kills your equipment. It's the temperature changes that condensate water in your electronics.

The front grill on my JBL Trip has become aesthetically damaged, how can I disassemble the unit in order to flatten the metal sheet and give it a quick new spray paint job? It's fairly non-obvious where the snapping mechanisms or screws are.
