I bought JBL xtreme last night , it works fine when i plug it to power but as soon as i remove the cable it automatically switches off and doesnt turn again. How can i know if the battery is good? When charging it a white led light is blinking at bottom

Asked by: Sunil
Same issue for me. Only works when plugged to the AC Adapter. Will NOT work cordless. I'm returning mine to the company to be looked at and fixed or have a new replacement.

JBL XTREAM question: 5000mah or is it 10,000mah battery? Your website says both under specs.

Asked by: spearhead3
Apologies for the confusion, the battery is 5000mAh not 10000mAh.

How many JBL Xtreme can be linked together?

Asked by: alliv
Joe G you are wrong.   JBL Connect  units can only pair, or link two speakers together.     JBL Connect+ units can connect to multiple other units, but it must be a connect+ enabled unit.          JBL needs to be MUCH more clear about this - as we've just purchased a group of Xtreme's, because the markting says multiple, and the app says 150 or more.        BE MORE CLEAR, or update the software so everything is Connect+ enabled.

My bluetooth speaker doesn't seem to be charging properly. When plugged in, I never see more than one light blinking and then only lasts (max) 1 hour of playing at approximately half volume. I've tried multiple power sources, still have the problem.

Asked by: BryceOlathe
What you are experiencing with the JBL Xtreme is not normal. You may try charging it in different power outlets and try using other chargers. You may also trying doing a reset on the speaker by having the Xtreme ON, press and hold the VOL+ and Pause/Play buttons for 5-6 seconds. The Xtreme shuts down, and is now reset. If you're shill having issues using the JBL Connect feature, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and the Customer Service team will be more than happy to assist you.

Asked by: nemethk2
have you tried turning on the bluetooth button on the speaker itself? the speaker won't be discover-able on your phone unless you do so.

When will the Xtreme receive the Connect Plus firmware upgrade?

Asked by: pryjdat
I think JBL has decided to abandon the project of doing a firmware upgrade. I bought a JBL Xtreme for Christmas and less than a month later I'm told at CES 2018, they decide to do a hardware upgrade instead. Already owning a Charge 3 which I upgraded to pair with my Flip 4, I now have nothing to pair with the Xtreme. So unless they decide to give us the upgrade anyways, I don't think we will ever see it
