Powerful little thing.
I am by no means an expert, but I know what my ears hear and at which levels. Also have a JBL Flip 4 and I got the GO 2 because I wanted something even smaller.
I got my GO 2 in the mail today and have been using it for the last few hours. It's a great little speaker for its size and price, following the lines of its predecessor. It's not going to blow you across the room, and that's okay — it's not physically possible for it to do so. It's better than a phone speaker, and that's good enough. Vocals sound fantastic on this thing, making it great for nighttime listening and podcasts, too. The previous GO had some kind of bass port; I believe JBL managed to fit a passive radiator in this one (I could be wrong!) because the bass levels sound good.
Not sure what else to say since it's only been a few hours of using it. So far, so good!

Really pathetic experience
I bought this speaker few days back and from the day it delivered to me it is not charging properly the battery is always low as when i connect the charger it charges for 30-40 minutes then stops automatically. I requested for the replacement as it is a new product they say i need to visit the service center so i did and the service guy was polite and said to check it and if the problem arrives again come back to service center again. The problem is not solved. Now you tell me after buying a new product i have to go to the service center again and again as may be there is no return or replacement policy for jbl. Really pathetic experience.

Great sound
I bought this because it I should portable, light and funky. The sound is good provided you are in line with the speaker, but that’s to be expected. Easy to use and to connect. My only issue is the “boing” sound when it comes on or off...when you are trying to create a quiet meditative space it is not quite the right thing!

Genuinely pleasantly surprised how this gives out such a good bass sound and still finds the correct pitch without distorting....and lasts for about 4 hours....really great...nice that it can be forgotten in the rain and still work!

I bought two of those- one for me and the other for my sister. We both love it. It is easily handled, design is nice and the sound itself is wonderful. Bought it in June and haven’t charged it yet. LOVE IT!

was great for only 20 months
bought one 2 years ago, it was great value for money BUT since june, the speaker shutdowns by it self randomly, sometime i can play music for 1h and it shutdowns, and sometimes it shutdowns after 30 seconds of playing music, no matter if the speaker has just been fully rechargged or reseted ( 30s pushing power boutton).
after it powers down i can power it on again, and then it can aleatoy remain on for 20 min, one hour or just some seconds, and this can repeat for hours and hours, so is not the battery.
this problems happens less often with volume set between medium and loudesst

What a bass wow
I have this small bluetooth speaker pass week and this is perfect for outdoor activity like going to beach. Its waterproof and has a small footprint so you can carry it to anywhere I wish they made the battery life little longer but for the size this is great

Battery life so far is insane I have been using it for 2 days nearly nonstop at between 50%-80% and it hasn't died yet ( might be different for some people but for me its insane )
Extremely cheap price for a great speaker will be buying more JBL items.

I like this line and have 2 of the original JBL GO speakers as well as a new JBL GO 2. No place for a strap on GO2 and I actually think the original sounds better. I am sure JBL GO 3 will have a strap in the box when it comes out.

Best pocmket sized speaker i ever had!
I bought this couple days ago and i cant find single bad thing about it,its tiny yet it sound petty amazing in fact light year better than any speaker its size.
Music is crystal clear it have bass ( yes it really have it lol), it is pricey of course considering its tiny size and i was thinking does it worh (40€ here in Serbia) but as soon as i heard it i had to have it there is no speaker its size that can get even close to its music quality.
Also battery is great it does runs 5 hours if you olay it on max volume but if you just chilaxing and listening on 30-50% it can easily play 7 hours.
Only thing i miss on this unit is battery percentage, but i do have powerbank so idc much about it.
I cant reccomend it enough :)

Don't let the size fool you, the sound from this speaker is impressively loud and crisp. Its lightweight and easily portable. The color is awesome too. I love it and would highly recommend.

I was surprised at the sound it made, definitely has a quality beyond the price you pay for it. It will be perfect if the highs are audible but then it's only around $40 & it's portable.

brand new and broken.
A friend of mine ordered this for me off amazon and I was kind of excited as I have a JBL Charge 4 and love it. Excitement lasted 5 minutes as no activated guitar sounds come from it. My iPhone picks up the blue tooth. The buttons on the JBL interact with my phone (ie pause, volume.) There's no trouble shooting in English on the instructions. I connected it via an audio cord to my phone. still nothing. volume is turned up all the way. again this speaker arrived today and it docent work. I've reset my bluetooth, forgot device, reassigned and now it won't connect. What is up with your broken gear?

When JBL says this speaker is waterproof
They ABSOLUTELY mean it.
Now I don't know what yall did to this thing to make it THAT impenetrable - but folks
I work on boats. This speaker has been dropped into piles of melting ice, a straight up foot of water, (almost on a daily) and more recently spent almost 2 weeks outside in the rain. I thought I lost it on a boat somewhere and literally just dropped it outside. And guess what?
I didn't even have to plug it in. I just turned it on and connected. And it works like it did when it came out of the box.

-It has an upgraded Bluetooth version (from v4.1 to v4.2). Which gives a more reliable and better bluetooth connection.

The Jbl Go 2 is indeed IPX 7 water proof, but i wouldn't advice you to take it with you in the shows. Because it's possible that the steam from the shower will resolve the glue, and damages the internal parts of the speaker.

Hi there, thanks for the review. Our JBL Go 2 is a plug and play type of speaker. When you plugged in the auxiliary cable to connect to your iPhone, it should work right away. There's no button on the speaker itself to change its mode. As an option, you can connect the speaker to the phone via Bluetooth.

Does it have LFM / a more bass mode that you can activate like on the charge 4 and flip 5.
For our Go 2 and other of our speakers, has no LFM. This is not recommended to be placed as it can ruin our Speakers and if there is, it will not revert back to the original performance. The bass will vary on the size of the drivers of each speaker.

The JBL FLIP would produce audio more loudly compared to the JBL GO 2 being that it has 2 woofers inside rated at 5W each, compared to the latter that only has 1 woofer rated at 3W.

I just bought a jbl go 2 and I want to use it for amazon echo via auxilliary port but the speacker turns off with non use to save power im quessing is thier anyway to always have it on so that when I ask alexa something i hear her from the speaker
