Product Q&A

Would this be a good center channel to match a pair of JBL Venue Series Arena 6" speakers? Or can you recommend a different center channel?

Asked by: bjake7
Yes. Our JBL Stage A135C is a good match with those bookshelf speakers.

Why this over the A125C? Or vice versa? I’m looking for a center channel to go with my arena floor speakers but can’t decide why I would want one of these center speakers over the other

Asked by: TechGuy42
Both are nearly identical spec-wise, with the main differences being the A125C will have a bit more bass while the A135C will be louder. Another point of consideration would be the form factor that can come into play if you have limited space for speaker placement.

How would this pair with a studio 230 on either side?

Asked by: jeff D
Thanks for asking. Our JBL Stage A135C has a frequency response of 75Hz – 40kHz while our JBL Studio 230 has a frequency response of 52Hz – 22kHz and they would be able to work well together. If you have other questions, please reach out to us by visiting this page: https://bit.ly/2K52L2x

I have a pair of JBL E80. Is this speaker a good match?  If not can you recommend a slim center speaker that would be a better match.

Asked by: Matt_Tampa
Thanks for your question. Our JBL Stage A 135C would match your JBL E80. While your E80 is rated at 100W at 8 ohms, our Stage A135C can accept power between 20W-150W at 6 ohms. This means that it's louder and you can have more voice clarity. If you have more questions, please contact us so we can help you. https://bit.ly/2zwFkYM

Looking for documentation on how to mount this, specifically into a VESA mounting system.

Asked by: Nocturne
Our JBL A135C only requires 2 screws/bolts that has a head that would fit each hole on each side.

I'm noticing that most of the JBL center channel diapers are 6ohm and the rest are 8ohm. What gives? I always thought that the impedance should match. Thanks

Asked by: Gomer
If your receiver is certified to play 6/8 ohms then you may use the 6 ohm speakers. The 6 ohm speakers will play a little bit louder than the 8 ohm speakers due to it's lower impedance.

How do I connect this to my TV?

Asked by: Gorbleflorble
You will need to connect this speaker first to an audio/video receiver then connect the receiver to your TV to get it to play. Please do note that this is a center speaker and needs to work with other speakers for a full surround sound experience.

I purchased the Leviton Architectural edition powered by JBL 6.5 In wall for front left and right and the 6.5 In ceiling speakers for surround as well as the 10” Sub in the same collection. Would the Stage A135C work well with this setup?

I would like to use 135 as a center, but would also like to build a quality system. I have an 80% hearing loss, so I enjoy crisp and loud. Any recommendations for complimentary speakers and amp? I would like 12” sub and 8” rear, undecided on left& right,

Is it possible to place a TV on top of this speaker? I'm working with severe space limitations and would love to place my TV (40lbs) atop the speaker. I cannot tell if there is any internal bracing in the speaker that would allow this to work.

Asked by: dirrot
It isn't recommended to place items on top of our JBL Stage A135C. There would be a tendency that the unit will vibrate when the sound is being reproduced from the drivers. You can try to mount the television instead. If you have more questions, please reach out to our Customer Support. We're here to help. http://bit.ly/30JI2G4

Would this speaker be a good mstch for a JBL Century 100.

Asked by: AntonioG
Yes, our JBL Stage A135C would be a great match with our JBL Century 100 as our Stage A135C can handle 20-150W of at 6 ohms which makes it match many types of speakers at those wattages. If you have more questions, please contact us here. https://bit.ly/2zwFkYM

I'm currently own KLIPCH RP-440C. I know how loud this is. For this JBL STAGE 135C, is this loud same with my KLIPSCH RP-440C or better than? Plan to score JBL STAGE 135A to pair with my JBL STAGE A190 Floor standing speaker

Asked by: ahldoink07
This will depend on the amplifier/receiver your are using and comparing the specifications of your Klipsch speakers, but our JBL Stage speakers are compatible with each other.
