What types of earphones are there?

Let's start at the beginning. Basically, there are two different types of earphones: in-ear earphones and earbuds. The first type has plugs that go deeper into your ear. With earbuds, this is much less the case. How else do these earphones differ from and what are their similarities?

In-Ear Earphones

With our in-ear earphones you can listen to your favorite music while you are on the move. The sound quality is so good because you place the earphones in your ear canal. This has the advantage of you not having to turn up the volume so high. Ambient noise is also dampened by correct positioning in your ear. The various earplug shapes that are included ensure that there is a match for every ear.

Earbuds

The difference between in-ear earphones and earbuds is that the latter do not close off your ear canal. Earbuds are looser in your ear. This gives a completely different feeling than when they are clamped firmly in your ears. What both types have in common is that they both produce top-quality sound. Traditional earphones work using a cable that plugs into your phone with a 3.5 mm jack. This way, you can listen to music anytime, anywhere. Some newer smartphones do not have a jack anymore. In this case, we recommend our wireless earbuds.

Wireless earbuds

With wireless earbuds you no longer have to deal with long, tangled wires or outdated inputs. Bluetooth connection makes the cord superfluous. Another advantage is that you can just put your phone somewhere in the bottom of your bag, while still listening to your favorite playlist. Making you extra flexible, wherever you go.

In-ear wireless earbuds

Many wireless earbuds are available as in-ear headphones. The two earphones are connected by a cable or neckband. The cable also houses the button to switch to the next track and answer phone calls. Charging wireless Bluetooth earphones takes an average of two hours. They can then be used again for about six to fourteen hours.

Fully wireless earphones

Completely wireless means optimum freedom. You can listen to music and make phone calls without any wires at all. And the fit keeps them in place. Fully wireless earphones fit in your ears independently from each other. You can only use the left ear if you also use the right one. Charging is very easy. You place the earphones in the matching charging case. A short wait and you are ready to listen to music for hours.

Sport earphones

Sports earphones are the perfect solution for runners, fitness fanatics and other sports enthusiasts. They are specially designed for active use. This means, among other things, that they are water-resistant. And sweat. A little - or not so little - perspiration is no problem, and even a sudden downpour is no problem for them. Sport earphones also feature an ergonomic fit. This ensures extra comfort and stability during training.

Functionality of earphones

The JBL earphones have a good microphone for calling. So you can use them for calls at work or when you want to listen to music while studying. We also have special sport earphones. These are water-resistant and can therefore stand up to plenty of sweat and rough treatment.

Full control with earbuds with microphone

JBL earbuds come with a built-in microphone. This allows you to switch effortlessly between making calls and listening to music hands-free. You can also turn off the music or adjust the volume via the built-in remote control on the earphones or the cable.
