Great headsets
Very satisfied with these headsets from JBL. Really good and clear audio quality and due to the cushioned ears, you get completely emerged in the sound. Tried with PC and Xbox and the quality is consistent on both - 3.5mm jack and USB connection. Good mic sound and volume. Lovely adaptation to various music styles and gaming regimes. Definitely worth buying if you are a moderate gamer who needs a comfortable headset with great audio quality for a decent price.
Also, can be used with PC and various online meeting platforms such as Skype, Zoom and GoToMeeting.

Does What a Gaming Headset Should Do
This headset does a lot of things really well. The 3D sound feature is very accurate and must have for gaming. The option to adjust the ingame volume vs chat volume right on the headset really improves the user experience. The microphone picks up sound really well and i like that it has the feature of being able to hear your own voice using the mic. I love the RGB customizable logo on the sides of the headset too. The JBL Quantum engine app is super useful as it allows you to tweak settings and customize the settings to your preference. Its really a great all around headset that's also super comfortable for long periods of time. Would recommend.

Good Sound Quality but Poor Construction
I purchased this headset in late 2020. I purchased it for videoconferences and listening to music. I found that it was comfortable to wear and the sound quality, both headset and microphone were good. Unfortunately the quality of the materials didn't match the sound and features. My headset broke after less than a year of use. The headset was only used for several hours each week, not handled roughly, and stored on its own shelf. The material or design of the pivoting interface between the ear cups and headband is flawed. Both sides cracked and one side failed completely. I'm disappointed in the quality of this headset and it's likely the last JBL product that I'll purchase.

I just got these JBL QUANTUM 400 Gaming Headphones ,
- First impression : They are very nice , comfortable and the sound , wow..
- They are not wireless.. They connect via 3.5mm Aux cable , and also to a Type C to USB cable .. cables are very well made , and long to give you more freedom..
- Quality .. these Headphones are well made , light weight and seem to be very durable..
- The cushions feel nice , soft and comfy..
- Sound : they are very loud , sound is very good , and the surround sound is very impressive , wow ..
also they are over the ear , big enough to give your ears plenty of space..
- Microphone : it sounds really good , clear , and loud enough .. I really like the fact that you can flip it up and it turns off , or you can use the Mic button underneath the left side to turn it on or off ..
- also there is another feature where you can adjust the level of the volume on the Mic when you are talking to your friends / game partners ..
- QUANTUM ENGINE : i really like this feature , where you can customize the Sound the way you prefer , the Lights , and the Spatial Sound on or off..
- Overall .. is a very good product , Great Sound ,
and Good Quality .. for it’s price .. as You Would Expect from any JBL Product ..

Worst headset you can buy
I have been using my quantum 400 for a year bow and i must its the worst headset ever even a 2000 rs headphones are vetter than this.First the build quality is the worst from the body of the headphones to the leather quality in it and secondly it makes your pc crash while playing games for some some reason and I can't even find a solution in google please save your money and add some bucks and buy a proper premium headphone jbl lost my trust here

This version of the headphones is not wireless, so its wired.
But if you want them wireless you might need to look at the JBL Quantum 600.

Can you make the colors change on the side of the headphones on ps4 and Xbox, or only on PC?

No sounds from Xbox whatsoever. Are these required to be plugged into a pc first and download a app to then be used on the Xbox? Instructions claim to plug straight into the controller and go and I have no sound.
Please update the software of your Xbox controller to ensure you're on the latest version and try again. Also, double-check if the headset's volume isn't muted or turned all the way down.

Regarding the colors, if I put a certain pattern or color on them will it still play the correct color when connect to my Xbox or any other device that isn’t a PC?

Does the headset support microphone monitoring or sidetone on the Playstation 4?

the playstation 4 does in general support this.
You only have to go in the menu for the micro sensitivity.

Whats the difference other tha the rgb feature, between the 300-400. Ive read that the surround only works when connected through usb to a PC running the JBL software. When connected to 3.5mm it doesnt work? Is this true?
The difference between the two is the Quantum 300 uses a USB audio adapter for it to be able to work with the Quantum Engine app while our Quantum 400 has the type-C port on the headphones, a separate USB Type-C to Type-A cable to able to work with the Quantum Engine app and a detachable 3.5mm audio cable.
Yes, the Quantum surround will only work when the headphones is connected to a PC via USB and running the Quantum Engine app.
