What you are experiencing with your L8 is not normal. Since this is Airplay that you are having issues with, it can either be the L8 having issues, or the home wireless network. Please try to do a reset on both your router and the L8, redo the set-up and this should fix the issue. To restore the L8 to factory settings -
In power ON mode, press and hold the Power Button for at least 10 seconds, until the volume and input selector lights begin to flash.
Reset to factory default includes Source, Volume settings, EQ settings, AirPlay name and Wi-Fi settings.
