Reliable and comfortable on-ears with solid sound
After being disappointed by the Tour Pro+ TWS earbuds as they don't stay in my ears even while sitting, I was hoping for something that I could wear while walking or running that weren't too bulky. I have been extremely pleased with these 510BT for as simple of a headphones experience as I wanted. Not too many buttons, lightweight, and comfortable for long walks or just sitting around the house, these are great on-ears with the JBL sound you'd expect.
The simplicity of them is what makes them such amazing headphones. I have a lot of over ear and in ear, but these remind me again that you don't need ANC and 100 buttons to have a clean listening experience.

Great sound and easy to use
I have used these for some weeks now. I mainly use them at work with a lot of meetings. They are working perfect for that use. I have also used them to listen to podcast, music and radio. I really like the sound experience, it is a delicate sound. The also block out some external sound, so i can focus.
I have also used them for walking and even training. It was ok, but not perfect. I have a small head so the headset is a little bit to big, but it is ok when i am sitting.
It was easy to connect them both to PC and mobile phone. They switch from device to device perfect as well.
The battery is also good - can use them over several working days without charging.

510 Tune vs 450 BT
Owned the 450BT for over 2 years. Bought them for the gym (mostly) and hands free talk while driving. Work great, the battery never died on me, no complaints. Recently saw the 510BT Tune advertised on sale, so I purchased. I'm going to compare.
The 510 do have a larger battery and weight a quarter oz more than the 450. The 500 look and sound better. The 450 feel lighter and fit my head a slightly better. The 510 with type C charge faster than 450 micro USB. These are loud enough to mask the music being played at the gym, but not so much that ears ring.
These headphones are good for the price. The sound is clear enough. Never had them to fall off my head. BT connection is good. They have improved. These are much less expensive to replace if damaged.

Great sound but they keep breaking
I have owned two pairs of these head phones and loved them! Until they broke… in the same place, both times! I would write it off as a fluke or something I did but I had three family members buy them and two of them said they broke in the same place for both of them also, time can only tell what will happen to the other pair. But while they lasted they had great quality sound and were really comfortable! But I don’t feel like they are built to last.

Okay sound.
I purchased these headphones for the low price point. Being a JBL product they do sound good with bass being present but the sound is not a full rich sound. The headphones do sit on top of the ear so the sound does escape a bit. My head is about average size, but the headphones feel tight when wearing them. The shortcuts for skipping tracks with the buttons was a bit confusing to learn at first. Overall these headphones are okay. I recommend them for a child or a teenager since they do seem a bit smaller than most headphones.

Can these be used for watching a smart tv?
Our JBL Tune 510BT does not have APTX HD low latency audio codecs. Using it while watching videos is likely to cause audio-video delays. Our Bluetooth Headphones are designed for listening to audio/ music.

Does the jbl 510bt come charged out of the box? Or do I need to charge it for a specific number of hours before using it?

Headphones connected to TV - can the sound on the TV also be heard? i.e. two people listening to the TV - one on headphones?

Why do the headphones turn off if idle
Our JBL Tune 510BT may disconnect from the source if it's idle or if the source is not playing any music. It's a power-saving feature to preserve the battery life of the unit.

Is there a way to check the battery percentage of the headphones?
The battery percentage would depend if your phone supports showing the battery status of each connected Bluetooth device to it. Our JBL Tune 510 BT will have a flashing red light when on a low battery.

Does the JBL Tune 510BT headphone support aptX LL?

The only known headphones that we produce that do support aptX is AKG N5005.

I have just purchased the Tune 510BT and there is a clicking from right ear cup when no media is playing - is this a fault with my device?

We are sorry to hear that there seems to be an unwanted noise with your JBL TUNE510BT, please reset your unit to its original factory settings:
1- Please ensure the headphone is turned on.
2- Long press the Volume + and the Volume -buttons together. Make sure the Bluetooth is not switched on and is not paired to any device.
3- If the LED indicator flashes faster, the headphones will be reset.
Before attempting to pair with the headphone after the reset, make sure you have forgotten the device from the Bluetooth menu on your smart phone/tablet.
