Poor Quality & Poor service
I bought this soundbar last week from JBL.in and upon receiving it, Bluetooth doesnt work as promised. It disconnects after 20-25 min of usage and gives a buzzing sound after that. I tried to complain by email. But the support team has not responded to my emails for last 6 days.
Please dont buy products from JBL website. Better to buy it offline or amazon etc. where you can get some support for faulty products.

Great TV sound improver
This was bought for my mum. We got her a 4k tv and the sound was not insufferable but not fantastic either. She loves a game of football and this really makes a difference. All the yobbo's can now clearly be heard shouting at the ref. It has improved the experience greatly (if you like that kind of thing).
It is basic; hdmi, optical and Bluetooth - no more, no less. No features, just audio playback, which also makes set up simple. If you use the hdmi(arc) the TV also controls the volume saving you having loads of remotes.
For greatly improving your TV sound and streaming from your phone via Bluetooth this is good. No, it's not hifi. No, it doesn't have any features - it produces sound and does a perfectly decent job of doing so for the price.

It has great potential.
I think that this all in one sound bar is pretty good with plenty of room for improvement especially in the ways of bass and additional modes. Seeing that this is a newer model bar, I am challenging the company to follow through and have some updates ready for the consumers. We want different modes for things like News (Speech), Movies, Games, Music.....these are just examples but I feel like something called and all-in-one should live up to it....and I think that it will. I hope that they see this review. We just need that upgrade file real soon. Overall, I like it!

Extremely good value for the money
I bought this to improve the sound quality on a small tv and have been extremely pleased by the performance and quality of this item. I expected some improvement but was not expecting the difference this has made. The clarity of the sound from the tv was a major problem and we struggled to understand the spoken word and music etc was very tinny. As soon as the soundbar was installed it made a huge difference and we could clearly hear everything at the other end of a large room. Also the bass output is amazing and added depth to music in particular. All round an excellent piece of kit and extremely good value.

Awesome soundbar great sound!
Extremely happy with this sound bar! I recently had purchased two other bars before this one, both were a huge pain in the butt to get the tv to recognize them, neither worked as advertised. I hooked this sound bar up and instantly my tv recognized it connected to it and without having to do a single thing the tv remote works the soundbar volume!! Soundbar quality is what you would expect from JBL, excellent all round.

Bought it to upgrade the tv sound for a Samsung TV in my office and couldn't be happier. For how it's being used it offers enough bass and treble and is a considerable upgrade from the tv speakers. It's not going to produce surround sound but that's not its intent. Quick and easy to setup using HDMI ARC.

Simplicity itself
After reading a number of positive reviews, I bought the Bar 2.0 as a refurbished model directly from JBL. The unit itself arrived in pristine condition and, with exception of batteries, came with all the accesories and paperwork you would expect. To be fair, the accessories only consist of a very simple remote and a 1m HDMI cable (no optical cable). Set-up couldn't be easier - plug HDMI connector in back of unit, other end into HDMI1 (ARC) socket on back of TV and switch on. My TV found the soundbar immediately and switched it's audio output to the Bar 2.0 without further adjustment. As an added bonus, the TV remote also controls the volume of the Bar 2.0 so you can put the soundbars' own remote out of the way until you want to use it as a bluetooth speaker. Okay, what about the sound? Even the cheapest soundbar is usually an improvement over the tiny, tinny, downward facing speakers of the vast majority of modern SMART TV's and the Bar 2.0 is no exception. It won't (and physically can't) fill a room with cinematic surround sound but what it can do is make speech a lot clearer (not just louder) and music more intense with well-defined highs and lows and a fair attempt at adding a bit of low frequency bass (sans sub-woofer obviously). Quite a remarkable performance really given it's footprint which allows it to sit right at home under the smallest of TV's. Bottom-line - if you have spent £1000's on a 75" OLED 4K TV then get yourself a 7.1 surround sound system and enjoy every minute of it - this is not the speaker for you. If, however, you are fed up of saying 'What did he say?' whilst watching your favourite soap on your 40" TV then this speaker may just be what you are looking for.

Incredible sound
This speaker has great sound quality and great should range. At half volume it can fill a room with whatever is playing. After opening the box it takes about 30 seconds before you’ve already hooked it up to the tv. All of the functions work well except if you want to play music out of it when the tv is on. This is pretty specific and all you have to do is unplug the speaker, but still something I enjoy.
With the incredible sound, ease of use, and the impressive design, this might be my favorite JBL product yet.

I've got JBL BAR 2.0 as a gift,and was so excited!
used to have my music everywhere: at the GYM I have JBL reflect flaws. For going out to the beach I use JBL charge 3 and for my apt now I have JBL BAR 2.0 ALL IN ONE. Why JBL? Because of its warm BASS and balanced sound. With that said JBL BAR 2.0 was a perfect gift for me!!! I’m an international dental student of LLU Dental school and having this type of soundbar for my small apt was just what I was missing. For example, it has a compact design(moreover, it has some tools with which you can attach it to the wall and enjoy the music) The sound is really good: for this price The BAR sounds really good I just love it . ALso,The Bar is connected to my phone and TV through Bluetooth and I can switch from one to another without any problem one click and that's it. though there is no perfect soundbars in this world, I can say that this is a great one for a student like me!

Easy Setup, great sound
*sleek design,very easy setup,great sound*
I received the Bar 2.0 last week.
A few minutes with the manual and it was mounted on
the wall under the TV and sounding great.
Sleek,unobtrusive design,would even look great
on a stand under a table mounted TV.
Very easy to mount on the wall with just 2 little brackets (supplied)
Each takes 1 screw so it really is simple.
The Bar plugs in the wall and one plug to the TV ( I used HDMI cable
which was included)
Sound is excellent,very deep bass,
makes me wonder how awesome the Bar with the sub woofer must be!
Really brings the movies to life,much better than the
TV's internal stereo speakers.
As a bonus,I can play my music from my phone through it!
Overall,highly recommended.

Great for the price
This sound bar is really affordable and the sound is good for the price.
Size of the product is good for a 50 inches TV, and in room of 100ft2, bass sound is not that good but it is better than the TV.

I received this less than a month ago, and it is an excellent piece of equipment. I have always been a fan of the excellent speakers JBL designs and manufactures. The sound quality is excellent for a small bar like it is with bass that does not require a subwoofer.

Great Sound!
Good:
Design - I like the defsign. It is sleek and simple.
Sound - Overall, the bar sounds great! There is good treble and evven without subwoofers, they provide some food punchy bass. I live in a dorm, so my room is small but the bar can get really loud and I think it can fill a much bigger room which is great if I had friends over and needed a speaker.
HDMI - It synchronizes really well with the TV so it enhances the experience
Bad:
Functionality - The biggest downside is turning the Sound Bar on. I cannot for the liffe of me tell if the bar is on unless I place the bar somewhere high up. The only indicator that I get is the light in the of the bar, but unfortunately my bar can only fit behind my TV so it is really difficult to know if the bar is on because there is no sound to indicate that. Even a subtle sound to indicate that it's on would be amazing!
Bluetooth - Sometimes it's a challenge to tell if bluetooth pairing or sync is on becasue it also doesn't make a sound. Sometimes my phone just does not connect to it.

Just hooked it up and is it just me but when I turn on the bar it doesn't seem to sync up with the TV sound wise. The TV is slightly ahead of the soundbar. So I see what they're saying just before they say it. Ever so slight but oh so distracting.

Turned the tv into a stereo
The goal was to improve my tv sound. I didn’t expect it to make it that much better. Any music now sounds great; have switched to just putting on Pandora and having a “house stereo”. Bluetooth for my IPad was easy to do, too.
Unfortunately I found out my tv did not have an “optical” HDMI output, so I was not able to use the enclosed HDMI cable (had to purchase the special ARC cable separately).

bought this from jbl online store as a refurbished item and it come in as new condition and got to say don't really need a sub with this as the base is very good... I mean if you gonna buy sound bar for cinema room then get the jbl sound bar that comes with the sub....but if just using this soundbar to make the tv sound better than this is brilliant sound quality I think is pukka and cant go wrong for the money I gave it 5 star review... I mean buy one and your be impressed... I had a Bose tv speaker before I bought this and got to say this jbl sounder will beat the Bose all day long I mean Bose one was awful and this is 100 times better..... just buy one try it if you don't like it im sure you can return it just give it a go im sure your be happy

Good Sound for normal TV watching
I have to say I bought this sound bar because of its unusual size and not it's sound. It was the only sound bar I could find which sat snuggly under the TV. The sound is fine for normal (speaking) TV but not outstanding for music. Perhaps that's why there is now a new JBL studio sound bar which is bigger and presumably better - but it wouldn't fit under my TV! It's quite good for me but a bit pricey. There are lots of cheaper ones out there possibly with better sound, but the wrong dimensions. Bit of a gap in the market I would say!

Nice sound in a compact size
Just installed and setup with a Samsung TV and Cox Contour. Tip: XFinity code plugged into the Contour remote got the soundboard volume working. Also needed to buy an optical cable so the soundboard would work with the Samsung TV. I hung the sound bar under my wall mounted 32"" TV and it's perfect for our bedroom.

Looks great and sound is excellent
I ordered this 2.1 sounder online for my parents bedroom. It said that it was on sale for $129.00 because it was the 20129 version. To me, that seemed irrelevant. I figured it would be an upgrade from having to listen to the Samsung tv speaker on the wall and knew that JBL was always solid sounding and good quality. I have to say that it came to the front door around 6:20 and by 7:00 pm I had it centered, cleaned up and the room felt almost like a personal movie room/theater with a deep (no echo) clean and sharp. soothing to the ear free the twang of feedback now that I have in the living room with the Vizio sounder. I know Vizio I a much lower end product but I, as well as both my mom and dad are impressed with the JBNL product. I am going to order another one for my room. I have one question to anybody who might be able to hep0 me out and respond.
can I bluetooth headphones directly to the soundbar and receive the sound from the television via the soundbar - not sure if this is possible. thank you

It's good you need speakers for a monitor.
I got it about a week ago for my monitor since it doesnt have speakers and it is perfect for it. Now I have a true surround sound for my main tv and I can tell you it cant replace an expensive surround system, but it is good enough to improve your built it speakers if you need a little more sound. Sound quality is good but it could be better,and the only thing I wish it had was more sound inputs because it only had 3 inputs and it's only Hdmi, optical cable and bluetooth. Other than that it's pretty good.

Can the bluetooth connection be used for a TV or projector?
You may but it's not recommended since there would be audio delays when using Bluetooth when watching videos. We highly recommend using wired cables for those situations.

Can a JBL SOUND BAR CONNECT TO A JBL FLIP4?
Our JBL Bar 2.0 All-in-One cannot be paired with any other device as it is a stand-alone system. The devices that can be paired with your Flip 4 would be the Xtreme 2, Charge 3, Charge 4, and the JBL Boombox via the Connect+ feature.

Can I attach a 3rd party traditional subwoofer?
Our JBL Bar 2.0 all in one is a standalone soundbar. We may recommend one of our soundbar subwoofer systems: JBL Bar 3.1, Bar 2.1, Bar 5.1, Bar 5.1 Surround, Bar 9.1, and more. All of our soundbars are standalone systems, and it isn't possible to add third-party subwoofers with them.

How bright are the function indicator lights on the soundbar meant to be. When either using the remote control or manually pressing the function buttons I can't see any indication lights of any colour whatsoever. Could the unit be faulty?
The indicator is a thin horizontal white line in front of the soundbar. It gets bigger with bigger volume. If that is not the case the indicator light might be not working.

Is there any bass that can connect wired or wifi/blutooth.
Our JBL Bar 2.0 All-in-One doesn't have a port for connecting a subwoofer via a wired connection. Bluetooth subwoofers exist, but they'll only pair with their designated speaker model.

The notification sounds are an important feature of our Bar 2.0 All-in-One as it helps notify you when the device is either connected to a source device or any other important alerts. Unfortunately, this feature can't be disabled.

Is it compatible with a 40" Samsung Smart TV (circa 2016)
As long as your Samsung TV has an HDMI (ARC) port and Anynet+ then it should be fine.

Is there any way to prevent the source from switching automatically to tv from bluetooth? Just turning the tv on overrides the bluetooth and the bar switches to solid white (tv source). The remote control and bar bluetooth buttons then have no effect.

hello there, my soundbar 2.0 turns the blue light off after connected to bluetooth, and if no soundtrack is played, it restart itself with the connected sound. how can i adjust it, or its a malfunctionning unit. thanks

If soundbar is connected through HDMI port, can I use Bluetooth on TV to connect a subwoofer?
Our JBL Bar 2.0 All-in-One is a stand-alone speaker system that doesn't require additional speakers to be connected.

When will the promised firmware update as per my tech support case to allow the speaker to always start in non smart EQ mode to be made? Without this change i've basically got a paperweight for trying to watch shows with large amounts of speaking.

is there any way to plug in an usb to extend storage? I notice there is a usb type-c at the back
The USB connection on our JBL Bar 2.0 All-in-One is only for the software updates.

How do I adjust the bass on this sound bar?
Thanks for reaching out. The Bar 2.0 All-In-One does not have a native feature to adjust the Bass. You can try switching between PCM/Bitstream/Dolby/etc (on your TV settings) - The sound will likely sound different in each mode, perhaps in one of them, the sound will be more to your liking.

There's no need for you to buy batteries as our JBL Bar 2.0 All-in-One comes along with 2 AAA batteries.

Can I pair this with the sw10?
Our JBL SW10 is designed to pair with our JBL Link Bar. Also, JBL Bar 2.0 All-in-One is a standalone soundbar-subwoofer system. Unfortunately, additional speakers can't be added to it.

Thank you for your question. The USB for music is only supported in the US version of the soundbar.
